After Ymir left, she kept her feelings mostly to herself. She didn’t know what to think about it all. Her closest friend had spouted so many confusing details at their last meeting. It was something worth staying up late at night and pondering. Now, she sat at the dining room table of their cabin. Historia and Sasha took their places on Squad Levi whilst they trained Eren’s titan powers.
“I’m sure it isn’t worth your time, Sasha,” she spoke silently. Her eyes trained on the grain of the wood table before her. Historia realized what she was doing just after--pushing aside her friend’s caring words.
“Sorry, I didn’t... It’s just... I’m still not sure what to make of Ymir and her leaving,” she said, turning her head. Blue irises meet brown. Historia has a slight frown upon her features. It’s a sensitive subject still, despite the time that has passed.
@intuixion // liked.
“hey.”
he slouches against the wall, arms crossed, the very picture of indifference, but he’s been watching sasha for a few minutes now, his eyes thoughtful. it’s -- strange, having a squad made up of soldiers he doesn’t already know well. he’s used to bringing new people in as needed (when there are vacancies, when there are deaths) by keeping an eye out for the particularly talented and quick-witted soldiers and choosing among them. his squad now is full of nothing but recruits, and he chose them because of eren, not for their individual merits. he isn’t complaining - it’s necessary, given their situation - but it means he needs to pay closer attention than usual to learn their strengths.
still. it hasn’t gone as badly as it easily could have. for all that they’re barely out of training, they’re keeping up surprisingly well.
“you’re pretty good with that bow,” he says once he’s got her attention, straightening and striding over. levi’s good -- better than good -- with knives, blade, gear, but the bow is one of the few weapons he hasn’t trained with. useful, to have a good archer with them. “where’d you learn?”

“You look hungry, dear. Would you like to come inside for food?”
"... Tell me a story."
Annie blinked over at Sasha from her bunk, seeming to be somewhat dazed by the question.“... You want a story. What kind of story?” She asked her, pulling her knees up to her chest from under the covers. Sasha rarely addressed Annie upfront.
@intuixion asked: 20, 21, and 46!

20: What’s your favorite writing program?
like, favorite word processor? is that what we’re talking about? i’m gonna assume that’s what we’re talking about. so like, i have a macbook, so i have both pages and microsoft word on it, and i prefer pages for outlining/notes and word for the actual writing? i also used to have zenwriter downloaded on my old computer way back in the day, and that was a cool writing program; it filled your screen, let you customize cool backgrounds and change up the type, put on calming music and type sounds, gave you timers and stuff and showed you how much you’d written and how many minutes you’d been writing for, all that kind of stuff - that was cool, i should see if that’s still a thing.
21: Do you outline?
for short stories and things, no; i kind of just come up with a rough idea in my head and then let it pour out on the page and refine it later. but for anything longer than a few thousand words, yeah, i definitely try to outline. i don’t outline in any kind of major detail, but i’ll write down the events i know need to happen and in what order, and break it up by chapter if i’m writing something with chapters.
of course, first i usually just end up spewing any and all of my ideas and thoughts into a document, and then eking out an outline based on that. and then i keep all that idea vomit, so my planning documents are a mess.
46: Describe your perfect writing space.
ooh!! this is such a good question and i’ve no idea how to answer it. usually i just write in my bed or on my couch; i’d say that i like to have a nice drink or snack with me, but if i’m actually into my writing then i forget that those things exist anyway, so they’re not important. but really, i think that i write best in less familiar environments? i’m more likely to be productive if i’m somewhere away from home than if i’m in my bed where it’s so easy to get distracted.
so i guess my perfect writing space wouldn’t be in my house; it’d be somewhere else where i can be both motivated and relaxed. i really don’t know where, though - i’m imagining like, a quiet space in a park where it’s the perfect temperature outside and i magically have wifi and am near an outlet so i can have my laptop plugged in. but idk man. i can write pretty much anywhere if i have a laptop and there aren’t any super annoying sounds in the background; i’m really not that picky.
@intuixion replied to your post “OKAY BUT IF ANYONE CAN GIVE ME SOME INSIGHT ON ANY OF THESE QUESTIONS…”
I think a lot of what you’re pointing out comes from the Japanese pronunciations of the character’s names, so the ship names include the phonetics… For some reason… Maybe because some of them look weird with out the vowels? Also if people could include "Christa's" ACTUAL name in ships involving her, that'd be GREAT.
ah right ! essentially it’s maybe so that native japanese speakers can pronounce the ship names as well as other languages ? that makes more sense because they may not have their own versions of some of the names included !! because having a mix of both really helps all fans be able to classify it under one actual name, rather than everyone having to translate it from one another. thank you so much for this help holy heck !!
( ALSO YES THANK YOU: i know yumihisu is an alternative name for yumikuri but it’s really not used as much as yumikuri. I mean I get it when it wasn’t revealed in the anime because... spoilers. BUT NOW SHOULD BE THE PERFECT OPPORTUNITY TO, RIGHT? )
