The Intxixu is a demon from Basque mythology. It is described as a cross between a human and a Betizu, a small breed of mountain cattle endemic to the Basque Country.
The Intxixu is a mischievous but not inherently evil creature, and is sometimes said to help humans. It makes its home in deserted mines, and is said to build gigantic monoliths on the Aiako Harria massif.
