Hey! Se vi piace la fic e volete offrimi un caffè, vi ringrazio!
"That's not Itadori anymore...that's Ryomen Sukuna."
Red eyes pierced through your very being, the intensity of the gaze shook your soul. You stared back, hoping and praying the red would fade back into Yuji's kind brown eyes, but as the red glow grew more intense, you began to lose hope.
"Girl I'm talking to you..." A voice emanated from Yuji that wasn't his. Megumi snapped into action, throwing you behind him and shielding you from the King of Curses gaze. As soon as you were protected, the red eyes faded into their natural hue.
Yuji now stood before you, looking as confused as ever. He looked at Megumi who stood fiercely in front of you, his eyes then shot towards you. You looked completely terrified, your body covered in bruises from the debris, your uniform ripped and bloody. However, what caught his attention the most was that your fear was aimed at him.
"Under Jujutsu Regulation, Yuji Itadori, by law I will now exorcise you...as a curse."
"Huh?"
Your eyes darted from Yuji to Megumi as the tension grew suffocating. The tattoos that had once stained Yuji's body had disappeared and his melodic voice had returned back to him. You wanted so desperately believe that he was completely back to normal, but then you looked at Megumi who had surrounded the two of you with swirling dark shadows, and his body language told you to stay put.
"So what's the situation?" A voice came from behind you, startling both you and Megumi. The man was incredibly handsome and from the looks of it, Megumi knew him as you saw his once tense body, relax in recognition.
While the two talked, your gaze went back to Yuji who stared at you worriedly. You wanted so badly to run over to him and wrap your arms around him. You didn't even notice that you had stood up until you felt a hand grab your shoulder, you looked back to see Megumi shaking his head in disapproval.
"I got an earful from the higher ups that the special grade cursed object is missing." The white haired man said nonchalantly, your gaze shot straight to your pink haired friend who suddenly had a guilty smile on his face. You also felt more than a little guilty since it was you who had encouraged him to eat it in the first place.
"Sorry but...I ate that thing." Yuji said with a guilty smile.
"...Really?"
A cacophony of 'he did' rang out into the otherwise silent night. You watched as the white haired man approached your best friend and looked him up and down, examining him for changes that Sukuna had brought on. You yourself could already name one and that was the second pair of eye slits that now rested under Yuji's eyes.
"Could you switch out with Sukuna at will?" The question was shocking to everyone there. You looked at Yuji in a panic, let the monster who had possessed his body take control, the same one who specifically wanted to talk to you. Yuji looked just as concerned at the thought.
"Don't worry," the white haired man said, "If he gets a little too big for his britches, I can handle it." Yuji finally nodded and you retained your position of hiding behind Megumi.
You watched as your best friend once again became riddled with black lines and another set of eyes. The evil radiating off of him was nothing short of scary, and the sheer speed at which he now moved was more than just alarming. Within seconds of the monster taking back over, his face now was only centimeters away from you and Megumi. The white haired man simply sat on his back as if he wasn't in any danger.
"You better stay right there girl, after I kill this annoying piece of shit you're gonna tell me why you ignored me." Not Yuji said. Megumi despite being bruised and bloody still sat directly in front of you, shelling you completely from the unsettling gaze coming from your best friends body.
Gojo witnessed the interaction with a raised eyebrow. He would definitely be prying Megumi for more details later, but for now, he had some kids to show off too.
The one sided battle lasted only ten seconds, but it didn't leave you any less in wonder at the white haired man. You watched with a relieved sigh as the tattoo's dissipated from your best friend's body once more. If anything, you were just glad that he still had some sort of control over himself. Your peace of mind disappeared after you saw your best friend lose consciousness.
"Wait what are you doing-" You began, before you felt your mind go dark.
Your body slumped against the black haired sorcerer, this was the first time that Megumi had seen you look peaceful, though he couldn't exactly blame you for being so sporadic, after all you and your friends have been mercilessly attacked.
"If he wakes up and isn't completely possessed by Sukuna, then he could be used as a vessel." Gojo remarked to Megumi, throwing the pink haired boys body over his shoulder.
"But I wanna ask you in particular, what do you wanna do with him?" Megumi pondered for a minute, his eyes shifting from you to Yuji.
"Regulations say he should be executed on the spot but..."Megumi began, Gojo raised an eyebrow at the boys hesitation.
"I don't want him to die." Gojo nodded. The white haired man then turned his gaze to your sleeping figure. "Now tell me about Miss Cheerleader over there."
"All I know if that she's one of Itadori's friends who was here during the attack. Well that and that she's the one who even told him to eat the finger in the first place, it was strange." Megumi recounted, remembering how you had thrown the finger at Itadori while he was being held by the one curse, how you were so sure that nothing bad was going to happen to your friend.
"Did Sukuna say anything weird to her before I arrived." Gojo inquired.
"Just that he wanted to talk to her." Megumi responded. Gojo hummed, turning around.
"Well let's go and make sure to bring her along, I'm gonna have some questions for her when she wakes up."
Blood. Why was there always so much blood? Your eyes molded with the figure in front of you. Their claws were sharp, and their body was covered in black lines.
I've gotten rid of him girl, now he can't save you.
The voice cooed. Blood dripped down from their chest, a gaping wound at the center of it all. When you finally could make out the face of the person in front of you, you let out a bloodcurdling scream.
You woke up in a cold sweat, your heart stuttering in your chest as you remembered your nightmare. Your hands moved down to grip your blankets, looking for the comforting sensation of the fabric you shielded yourself with every night. However, this time they felt unfamiliar. You looked down to find yourself covered with what looked like hospital sheets.
Your eyes moved up to look at your surroundings for the first time. However the first thing you saw was not a hospital setting.
"Good morning sleepyhead!" the white haired man said with a small wave and way too big of a smile. Your brain lagged for several moments, your mouth and eyes agape as your mind came to terms with the fact that everything you had been hoping and praying hadn't happened last night, actually did.
"Oh Shoko didn't warn me you would have a brain injury, maybe I need to get her back in here?"
Then you screamed.
After your much needed screaming session, you sat up fully, your hands nestled in your lap, and your mind racing.
'Where was Yuji?' you thought. The last you had seen of him was when the white haired man, who was currently trying to garner your attention, knocked his ass out. You could feel yourself shaking, what if something had happened to him? Was there really a chance that you would never see your best friend again?
Gojo, although he presented himself aloof, could immediately tell what you were thinking.
"Yuji is alive he just needed to be kept somewhere else for safe keeping, and listen I'll cut you a deal. If you answer some of my questions, I can take you to see him."
His words made you relax almost instantly. 'Thank god'. After Gojo saw your body destress, he started his inquisition.
"Why did you feed Yuji the finger? Megumi told me that you urged him to." You fiddled with your fingers. If you told him the truth he would probably think you were absolutely insane, after all that's why you hadn't anyone. But the more you thought about it, this guy literally saw my best friend get overtaken by a monster, so how crazy was it really?
"I've been having this reoccurring dream for close to a month now, about...well everything that happened. In the dream I fed Yuji the finger and he was fine, that's how I knew I needed to do it. Though I don't feel great about my decision now." You said, feeling your eyes start to water.
"I just have one more question for you and then I will bring you to see him I promise," Gojo began, "Why was Sukuna so interested in you?"
The question made you still. Just tinking about the monster inside your best friends body made your blood run cold. "I...I honestly don't know. When I grabbed the finger I heard this voice trying to persuade me to use its power, but that was it. Don't tell me that bloodthirsty freak has formed some sort of attachment to me."
Gojo couldn't help but laugh at your declaration.
"Though to be honest, we're unsure of how Sukuna feels about you, and it will stay that way until we have the two of you interact again. Now speaking of that, how about we go see Yuji!" Gojo said. his tone switching into a far more happy-go-lucky one. However, when he saw your face it was one of shock and horror.
Seeing Yuji tied up was horrific to say the least, your best friend who wouldn't even hurt a fly was being treated like a serial killer. Though to be fair according to Gejo or was it Goju, or whatever, the thing that now inhabited his body was far worse than just a serial killer.
As if sensing your presence, the boy jolted awake seeing you covered in bandages and looking at him sorrowfully.
"Y/n? Are you okay? Where am I?" Yuji shot off question after question. He tried to advance towards you but was held back by the restraints.
"Yuji Itadori, it has been decided that you will be secretly executed."
"HUH/WHAT?!"

“He should go to his club! Go to his club! And for heavens sake ask out (Y/-)”
Death. The whole scene felt painted in it. The night sky shining brightly above, illuminated the horrifying creatures that reveled in the darkness. Snarles echoed through the hallways of the fourth floor. Running felt futile, the action only welcoming the sounds of footsteps and panting.
The pressure was immense, every movement accompanied by a horrific pull. Sheer terror coursed through your body as your eyes met with several malicious heads all connected to one form.
Your hands fiddled with the object clutched in your hands. When you peered down at your palms, your eyes were met with a sharp nailed finger. Your heart skipped a beat as a voice pounded through your head with words you couldn’t make out.
With the disappearance of one monster, another took its place. Every eye on its tongue looking crazily at you. Yells resonated in your ears. Run..Run..Run! Your legs pumped towards the exit, the finger clutched tightly to your chest. You could hear the gallops of the wretched thing following after you. Arms pushed you out of the way, instead leaving themselves to be captured by the being.
Your mouth let out a piercing scream, one that left your throat raw. Without a second thought, you threw the finger.
You sat up gasping as if someone had completely deprived you of air. You grabbed at your chest, clawing at the cheer uniform you had put on in preparation for your after club practice. Your heart felt as if it was going to beat out of your chest.
Your hands scrambled through your blankets, trying to find your phone just to be able to hear a comforting voice on the other line.
“Hey (Y/N)! I was just about to call gramps, is everything good?” Yuji’s voice played through your speaker like a symphony. Hearing his words immediately put the nightmare in the back of your head.
“Yeah, just wanted to make sure you were still coming to the club meeting later?” You replied, hoping that your voice didn’t sound as nerve wracked as you knew it probably was.
‘“Oh yeah, gramps is probably gonna yell at me to go anyways, so might as well. By the way, do you wanna visit him with me after the meeting?”
“I have practice immediately after, but I’ll meet you at your house okay?”
“Okay I’ll make sure to say hi to him for you! See you then!”
Hanging up the phone with Yuji was always hard, but for some reason, today felt even harder.
You waited patiently outside the Itadori household, your nightmare coming back to the forefront of your brain. Your fingers played with the frayed ends of the hoodie you stole from Yuji months ago. Your long nails getting caught along the strings. Grabbing your headphones from your pocket, you plopped one into your ear, opening the playlist you and Yuji had made only a few weeks prior, and started scrolling through the music. You finally landed on a song that eventually calmed you down enough to stop fidgeting.
Yuji walked out the front door, closing it behind him with a long sigh.
“Same as usual?”
”Yup.”
“They’re keeping a cursed object of this magnitude in a place like this?” The brooding boy said, walking towards the small wooden structure. The boy grew closer, his hands drifting towards the latch and softly opening it.
When the wooden doors opened he had expected to find the very thing he had been sent to collect, what he found instead was the wooden cupboard completely empty. The car haired boy was thrown into a panic, his hands beginning to search every crevice and every surface, but still nothing.
“Its not here..”
”Huh?”
”The Stevenson Hutch is empty.”
”For real? That’s hilarious!”
“Ready to go? What do you say? Sasaki? Iguchi? Y/n?” Yuji asked. Each member surrounding him nodded accordingly.
“Spirit God, Spirit Gods, what’s the student body president barely weaker than?” You said with a bright smile, waiting for the coin to move beneath your fingertips. You watched with a silent laugh as it stuttered to life, primarily because of Yuji, spelling out sea angel.
The club room erupted into laughter as you each envisioned the pain in your ass getting beaten by a tiny sea creature. Just then the headache in human form threw open the club rooms doors.
“Occult club! Due to lack of activities as previously informed, I am here to tell you to vacate the club room at once!” The four of you looked at one another with an evil smile, Sasaki pulling out the research that you all had been doing for the past couple of weeks.
“If you must know Prez, the Occult club has been researching the mysterious illness caught by our Rugby players.” You said, pulling out documents from the large folder and shoving them in his face.
”It’s true!” Sasaki reiterated, pulling out an old Newspaper clipping, “It’s said there might be a body buried here, thus explaining the creepy things that started happening before the players got sick!”
“Therefore it’s a ghost!” The four of you said at the same time, looking awfully proud of yourselves for putting it all together.
“It was ticks.” The room was plummeted into silence. Sasaki looked on the verge of a mental breakdown, while you hid your face in your hands utterly embarrassed by the information bestowed on you. You zoned out as you listened to the Yuji and Iguchi defend your club.
“Besides the minimum for clubs to be considered active is 3 members, you only have two signed up!” You looked up at the president in confusion.
“Yuji Itadori and Y/n L/n, you both are not signed up for the occult club. According to your sign up sheets, Itadori you are signed up with Track and Field and L/n you are signed up for both cheerleading and chess club.” Sasaki and Iguchi looked at the two of you with visible anger.
“I swear I put Occult Club!” Yuji exclaimed, wailing his hands.
“Cheer sounds right but since when do we have a chess club?” You exclaimed with a confused tone.
Two adults suddenly stood at the door, Coach Takagi and Mr. Yuno. While Coach and Yuji got into a screaming match, you and Mr. Yuno chose to engage in psychological warfare.
“Despite being a cheerleader Miss L/n, you are quite an asset to the chess club.”
“Honestly Mr Yuno, with the way that you talk to me it's no wonder your wife decided to leave you.”
“I will excuse you from the chess club if you beat me in a match, however, if you lose, I expect you to set aside cheer and get this club to nationals.”
You rolled your eyes heavily, before checking your nails disinterestedly, “Fine, but when I win you better leave me alone.”
‘What’s with this rugby field?’ Megumi thought, as he walked along the boundary lines, a curse peaking out through the grass. ‘There must be a dead body buried here or something but even then, a grade two curse being here is pretty odd’
The boy continued to walk by the place, his mind focused solely on where the cursed object could’ve been moved.
“Hey, get over here! Coach Takagi is taking on Yuji Itadori from West Middle!” One boy said to his friend trailing behind him.
“But I wanna see the match between Mr. Yuno and Y/n L/n! He used to be a national chess champion!”
Megumi looked on in confusion, but continued to follow the commotion. The dark haired boy stopped at the physical show of prowess first, his eyes immediately locking on the boy with pink hair.
“I can throw this however I want, right?” Yuji asked, not really waiting for a concrete answer as he pitched the weighted ball as if he was a baseball player.
Megumi stared at him in slight shock at the lack of cursed energy used for the feat of strength.
‘I wonder if he’s like Zen’in?’ He questioned, as he continued walking towards the next crowd of people. When he got there he was taken aback by the two competitors. On one side was possibly the nerdiest individual Megumi had ever seen, while on the other was a cheerleader talking animatedly to two of her teammates. In the middle of the two was a chessboard.
The male went first, proudly moving his bishop protecting pawn which stood at the ready on the kings side. You however, without even looking, moved your pawn which stood in front of your king, still chatting over the game schedule with your team. Mr. Yuno confidently placed his next piece, moving his right knight protecting pawn forward two spaces.
“One second girls,” You said, picking up your queen and moving her diagonally, “Checkmate.” You said, stunning the crowd and most importantly Mr. Yuno. Megumi watched as you walked up to the pink haired boy he had seen earlier and gave him a quick hug. The boy then ran the opposite direction, passing Megumi on the way.
Megumi’s stomach lurched at the energy wafting off of Yuji like a horrific stench.
“Wait, hold on!” He shouted at the pink haired boy, but within a second, he was gone.
The cold night air began to nip at the exposed skin on your body, causing chills to race up and down your arms. You waved off the remaining cheerleaders that had stuck around waiting for rides after practice. You took off towards the school entrance, checking your phone for any missed texts from Yuji, but saw none.
A bad feeling bit at your stomach when you opened the front door to the school. You chose to ignore the feeling chalking it up to your bad dream from earlier. You shook your head while you walked through the dark hallways. You figured you could meet up with Iguchi and Sasaki since they had planned something extra spooky for tonight.
As you neared the fourth floor the feeling or terror overtook your body. The worst pain imaginable went through your stomach, causing you to fall to the floor. You held in a gag as an evil darkness infiltrated the school. When you finally choked back down the vomit still threatening to come up, you looked up from the ground, and found yourself surrounded by monsters.
Yuji had never felt so scared in his whole life, in fact he had never been scared before this very moment. If he could fully trust what this stranger was saying that meant that Sasaki and Iguchi were in danger, but most importantly, so were you.
As he ran behind the dark haired male, he tried over and over to call you, reaching your voicemail each time.
“Hi this is Y/n, I can’t make it to the-“ Yuji was getting even more worried with every unanswered phone call. He hoped and prayed to whoever was listening that maybe you had decided to walk home instead of waiting for him, that you were just in bed, dead asleep. Deep down he knew that you were in the school, that you were near the evil reckoning.
When the two boys finally got to the gates of the school, he felt as if a forcefield was keeping him out. He tried to push against the pressure but the more he resisted the more terrified he felt.
“Listen you stay here, I’ll handle this.” Megumi said, launching himself over the fence.
“Hold on, I may not know the other two that well but they’re my friends, and Y/n might be in there-“ Yuji said panicked.
“You’re staying here.” Megumi said firmly, tearing off into the school.
You held Sasaki’s hand, panting silently while you both hid by the staircase. Sasaki shook as a curse walked right by her, you tried not to breathe. The sound of slow footsteps caused you both to quickly turn your heads toward the staircase. Despite being unable to see clearly, you were able to make out the shape of Iguchi coming up the stairs.
Sasaki was quick to greet him while you stayed silent as to not alert anything of your hiding place. Neither of you were expecting to see Iguchi with a monster covering half of his face.
The curse that had passed you and Sasaki only moments ago was back with a vengeance. You grabbed Sasaki before the monsters hands could grab ahold of her, and you ran without looking back.
You knew without looking behind you that the curse was following close behind, Sasaki wailed behind you. You couldn’t even begin to comfort her, your own terror keeping you from emitting words.
“Wait Y/n, the finger!”
‘Your friends are going to die’
Megumi’s words reverberated through Yuji’s head. Flashes of club meetings flashing through is head where he constantly took the lead, the three of you following behind. Iguchi and Sasaki had always been understanding about the situation with his grandpa and never faulted him for missing meetings.
Then there was you.
The one person that Yuji had left that he couldn’t lose.
Yuji grasped the bars of the gate, death wafted off of the building, the force of it halting Yuji’s movements.
‘You’re a strong kid Yuji, use that to protect others.’
“Don’t worry gramps, I won’t let you down.” Yuji said, lifting himself over the gate and racing towards the school.
Megumi rushed through the hallways, his demon talks following close at his sides. The concentration of curses getting more and more dense with every step he took. When he finally turned down the hallway where you resided in, he was shocked to find you fighting against the giant curse that seemed to have taken quite an interest in your two friends.
You dodged each of the curses hands with finesse all the while keeping a hand firmly behind your back and out of reach. Megumi could see the curse was getting increasingly frustrated.
Your dodges had quickly turned into high powered kicks at the creature.
“Give Sasaki and Iguchi back you asshole!” You cried. The curse had begun to engulf the two with a smirk on its face. Megumi couldn’t move. With you in the way there was no way in hell he could help them in time.
The shattering of glass broke his stupor as a flash of pink and yellow crushed the curse, throwing the three afflicted to the side. With a clear shot, Megumi was finally able to exorcise the curse.
“You’re not supposed to be here but I guess I’m glad you showed up.” Megumi said stretching his shoulder out, approaching the four huddled in the corner.
“You’re pretty smug for someone who obviously needed help.” Yuji snipped back, his eyes glancing at his two knocked out friends.
“Can somebody for the love of God explain what the hell is going on!” You shouted, your chest heaving and tears budding at your eyes. Yuji stood up, grabbing you into a hug as you whimpered.
“I’m afraid there’s no time to really explain-“ Megumi began, before movement came from the ceiling. Megumi looked at you and Yuji with alarm.
“Run!”
The next few seconds felt unreal. As soon as the beings eyes had landed on you, you sprinted as quickly as you could. The heavy footsteps f the creature followed you with intensity. You gripped the finger against your chest, if these things were all after this then it must be insanely dangerous.
You managed to reach the exit, your lungs reaching for air that just wasn’t there. The monster was quick to follow you out, bursting through the walls, tossing Megumi across the way as if he weighed nothing. Your froze in fear at the being, as its gnarly arms reached to seize you and the cursed object. Yuji pushed you out of the way, letting himself be the one taken instead.
You screamed after him as he was lifted in the air.
‘I can make you stronger girl’ A male voice spoke, his words rattling in your head. You looked at the finger still enclosed in your now bloody hand.
‘Let me in and I promise you power beyond compare’ He growled again
Your dream from earlier played through your head once more, you could hear Megumi behind you begging you to run away, screaming at you to move. Your eyes stayed fixed on the finger.
“Yuji I need you to trust me okay!” You shouted at your trapped friend who struggled against the monsters hold.
“Always!” He shouted back.
You then launched the finger at your friend, willing for it to land near his mouth.
“Eat this!” You screamed, and without a second thought, Yuji swallowed the finger. You collapsed to the ground in exhaustion, tears streaming down your face as you begged anyone who might be listening for this to work.
In seconds a new energy made itself known. The presence was suffocating. You watched as your best friend slaughtered the curse in mere seconds, landing back on the ground gracefully.
“Yuji!” You shouted, trying to lift yourself up from the ground, but Megumi was quick to hold you back.
“That’s not Itadori anymore,” Megumi whisperer shouted in your ear. Maniacal laughter filled the night air, laughter that in no way shape or form belonged to your best friend. “That’s Ryomen Sukuna.”
Red eyes gravitated towards your body, “Girl…we need to talk.”
