hi guys ! mod junko here , i had a random idea for a fantasy au oneshot - if anyone likes it , i ‘ ll post the second part ! ( i forgot to mention in my last post that my ipad broke so i couldn ‘ t make sprites for myself :( i got it fixed though ! <3 )
you read outlout , you felt a familiar hand on your shoulder , you turned . seeing shuichi give you a soft , yet kind smile . you smiled back . his warm grin pushing the fear in you to the back of your mind . you studied the cavern ahead , four different directions to go , and there were four people in your party .
this all started 2 months ago , when the leader of the demon organization DICE kidnapped soon to be queen kaede akamatsu , your sister . you would never admit this but , you were slightly jealous of her - she was attractive , smart , talented and thoughtful . you were but a shadow of that , even though you had some resentment for her perfection you jumped at the chance to save her , her friends , shuichi saihara , himiko yumeno and maki harukawa asked you to join their quest to save the soon to be crowned queen .
the four of you had faced the swamp , retrieved items for the greatest inventor , fought against the unbeatable martial artist and more things like that , all leading up to now , the last threat before you could reunite with your beloved sister . “ four different directions , four of us . that ‘ s not a coincidence . “ maki said , scanning the cavern . “ they ‘ re also different sizes , so himiko should take that one , i ‘ ll take this one , shuichi can take that one and maki can take that one ! “ you exclaimed , pointing at the selective ones . “ right ! hey , himiko could you cast a light spell ? ” shuichi asked , yumeno nodded , “ wait himiko ! “ you shouted, himiko looked at you confused , and so did everyone else in the party . “ i think the cavern ‘ s enchanted , i sense a strong dark magic , do you too ? “ you asked , even though you were anything but a mage you still felt a connection to magic of all sorts , the only thing that made you value yourself - your magical abilities , weak abilities , but abilities nonetheless .
yumeno closed her eyes , tapping into her magical energy . “ yeah , i do . . it ‘ s draining my magic . . “ she said dozily , feeling weaker by the second . “ we should move quickly . “ shuichi commented , maki nodded in agreement . wrapping her fingers around her sword taking a deep breath , staring at what was awaiting her in the cavern .
She took a step , the dirty ground absorbing her foot . she took another step and so , she went into the cave . with no hesitation , shuichi followed in pursuit , eager to save the princess , he ventured fully into the cave .
“ be careful himiko , okay ? “ you hugged yumeno , she hugged you back ; over the coarse of this crazy adventyreyou had become close friends with everyone in the party , himiko being the closest friend you made , both of you having a connection to the magical energy of the world , you slightly envied her , being able to cast spells . even though you were arguably an important part of the party you still felt completely useless , being the only one who wasn ‘ t an ultimate , being the plain one .
gripping her staff , himiko skipped into the mysterious cave , her small figure disappearing and joining the darkness in seconds , all that remained was you , y / n akamatsu - the sister of the queen and ultimate pianist , the dull one .
“ c ‘ mon y / n you can do this , you can do this . “ you muttered to yourself , , putting a foot infront of you and taking a step , and then another step . now at the dge of the cavern , your hands and the front of your face becoming one with the darkness , departing from the dim light .
You and Megumi waited outside the gate for what seemed like hours. Every minute that passed felt like an eternity. Your muscles began to ache from being on high alert for so long.
You were too smart to be optimistic, besides that wasn't necessarily a trait of yours to begin with. Looking on the bright side was Yuji's thing. Yuji wasn't here right now. Yuji was fighting a monster who could slaughter thousands without trying and he was doing it alone.
You knew the reason Yuji wanted you away so bad was because he was going to let Sukuna take over. A sick part of you wondered how it felt to share a body and having to constantly fight to keep control of it. Just the thought of it gave you the heebie jeebies.
"The innate domain is closed off. That means the special grade is dead." Megumi said from beside you. You breathed a sigh of relief, finally releasing the tension from your body. Now all you needed to do was wait for Yuji to come back out and everything would be fine-
"Sorry but he's not coming back." You couldn't breathe. The presence behind you was so overwhelming you had to keep yourself from passing out. You darted your eyes over to look at Megumi who seemed to be going through every stage of grief all at once, just as frozen as you were.
"Oh don't be scared you two, I'm in a great mood right now. Let's chat for a bit." Sukuna cooed, whispering in your ear. The curse draped his hand over your shoulder, carving his nails into your skin.
You were so in shock you couldn't even feel the pain. Sukuna chuckled before walking ahead of you.
"This is what he gets for trying to use me without forming any kind of pact. Poor kids having some trouble switching back it seems. Still though, it was only a matter of time before he failed." Sukuna explained before tearing off Yuji's clothing.
If he wasn't so evil you'd be drooling over his muscles right now, except the fact of the matter was he was terrifying.
"So I thought about what I could do right now..." Sukuna snarled, snapping open his claws before digging them into Yuji's chest, ripping out his heart. You choked on a scream.
"I'm taking this brat hostage."
You watched in utter horror at the pool of blood that had begun to form at Sukuna's feet. That was Yuji's blood. You hyperventilated looking at the empty space that had once contained Yuji's heart. The heart that was now tossed aside like garbage.
"I can live without this pesky thing, the brat however can't. If he tries to switch out with me...he dies." You fell to your knees, flashes of your dreams coming back to haunt you.
How could you be so stupid to forget this?
You could've prevented this
What kind of a genius are you? Can't even save your best friend
You fell to your knees in anguish. Sukuna's face broke out into a shit eating grin as he watched you fall. He walked calmly to your side, grabbing your face with his bloody hand.
"Don't fret girl, I have so many plans for you now that the brats gone." You couldn't even react as the smell of iron filled your nostrils. Your brain had gone into overdrive trying to think of a way out of this, but you were stumped.
"He's...he's gonna come back. That's the kind of guy that Itadori is even if it means he'll die." Megumi spoke with conviction, readying himself to battle the king of curses.
Sukuna arched an eyebrow. "You give him too much credit. The brats just a little tougher and an whole lot denser than other humans. Only a moment ago, he was scared out of his mind as he teetered on the verge of death. All I had to hear about was all his regrets and how he wishes he could've told the girl how he felt about her. I know for a fact he doesn't have the guts to kill himself." Sukuna continued to wipe Yuji's blood all over you. The rain washed the crimson down your face.
You slowly stood up, startling the king.
"You know, I'm getting really sick and tired of you talking about Yuji like you know him." Your tone was dead and your aura was downright murderous as you looked at the curse inhabiting your best friends body.
Sukuna could feel himself grow excited under you gaze, almost feeling giddy at the amount of bloodlust that radiated off of you. As quick as lightning you pulled your pistols from your holsters, firing multiple shots at the curse who took each one like it was nothing. Sukuna did nothing but smile.
"It feels so good to be outside again. Let's use all this open space shall we?"
Megumi summoned Nue without a second thought, commanding the shikigami to grab you. This time you allowed the animal to do so, soaring above Sukuna you had better aim for all your shots.
Megumi stayed close to the ground, throwing his body at the curse, trying to land a solid hit, but it was useless. Sukuna was able to evade every single attack that the boy threw at him.
Sukuna grabbed Megumi's arm, spinning him around before pulling him up close.
"Put more curse behind it." He growled, launching a punch of his own, hitting Megumi square in the face.
You let the shikigami bring you back to the ground as you took Megumi's spot. Sukuna's eyes glowed red as you reentered the battlefield. You continued to shoot your pistols from a safer distance, keeping Megumi behind you as he tried to shake off the hit.
"You have a plethora of cursed energy you just haven't been able to fully tap into." Sukuna spoke, getting walking closer to you, letting Yuji's body be riddled with bullets that he was quick to heal.
'come on, just regenerate the heart' you thought manically, continuing to shoot as much as you could, but the distance was quickly being closed off. As Sukuna grew closer, Megumi summoned another shikigami, this time his snake.
You fell to the ground, catching your breath as you let Megumi take over once again. Orochi pulled Sukuna into the air allowing Nue to pack multiple punches full of cursed energy.
Megumi knelt down to you, pulling you back on your feet.
"Are you okay?" He asked, you shook your head.
"I'm running low." You spoke, your legs beginning to wobble and your head beginning to feel like it was full of lead.
Sukuna, the life ruiner that he is, decided it was the perfect moment to join the two of you once more. The curse decimated the snake shikigami before appearing behind the two of you.
You could feel the curse grasp the back of your shirt.
"Like I said, let's use the open space-"Sukuna shouted, throwing you and Megumi into the air. You tore through trees, before stopping midair. Before you could even grasp the full extent of what was going on, Sukuna launched another attack, kicking you into a building.
You crashed through walls, you could feel pieces of concrete embed themselves into your skin as you soared through the air. When you appeared through the other side, Nue was there to catch you and Megumi. You held onto the bird creature with all that remained of your strength. You tried to breathe but that proved almost impossible under the weight of several broken ribs.
The king however, was not done with his onslaught of torture, this time aiming an attack for Nue, causing the three of you to crash through another building. You screamed in pain as you landed. Blood soaking through almost every crevice of your body. Your vision clouded up with spots as you bounced between the land of the living and the dead.
"So I've finally figured out the boys technique. You use shadows to form your shikigami's." Sukuna said almost proudly.
"Yeah and what's it to you." Megumi replied sarcastically.
"I just don't get it..why did you run back then? It's almost a waste of your talents." Sukuna questioned. Megumi looked perplexed at the curses curiosity. The boy paused before looking at you, who laid beside him whimpering in pain. Sukuna noticed his line of sight and smiled evilly.
"Ah so you also feel something for the girl...how interesting."
Megumi blinked only to find Sukuna right next to you.
"Now this girl is quite the mystery to me. You know she heard my voice that night I infested the brats body but it's almost like she knew to feed my finger to this idiot instead of herself. It's as if her soul knows me..." Sukuna traced a sharp finger down the side of your neck, releasing another stream of blood.
Megumi let cursed energy charge through his body as he prepared to unleash his ultimate attack. Sukuna smiled in victory, finally finding the part of Megumi that makes him tick.
"COME AT ME WITH ALL YOU HAVE MEGUMI FUSHIGURO!" The curse screamed charging at the boy, only for time to stand still.
"Just so you know, I...I didn't have any logical reason for choosing to save you back then. Even if it was dangerous I just couldn't see a good person like you die. I had no rational reason for sparing you other than my own selfish, emotional reasons. I'm not hero, just a jujutsu sorcerer, and I have never once regretted saving you." Megumi spoke. His revelation causing you to open your eyes fully. You sat up to the best of your ability, nursing your ribs.
"You really are smart Fushiguro. Take care of everyone for me..."Yuji spoke, his warm brown eyes then drifted towards yours that had begun to fill up with tears, "Y/n..," Yuji coughed up some more blood, his voice growing hoarse as the weight of his injuries had begun to catch up to his mortality.
"Y/n live a long life." The pinkette spoke as he fell forward. You shook your head in disbelief as you gravitated towards the body of your best friend.
"No..."You choked out, your voice a mix of anger and melancholy. "No." You nearly screamed as you fell beside your friend, tears falling freely down your face.
The scream you let out as you realized that Yuji was truly gone still plays in Megumi's head like a haunting melody.
"Live a long life...doesn't mean much when you go and die yourself." Nobara spoke. A silence fell between Nobara and Megumi as they sat in the courtyard. "Is this your first time having a partner die?"
"First one that was my age." Megumi responded, his tone lacking any real emotion.
"You seem to be taking it well..."
"You too."
"Well I only knew him for two weeks. I'm not the kind of girl to break down over a guy that I-...a guy that I barely knew." Nobara could feel the hot sting of tears. Nobara felt awful and if she felt like this, she couldn't even imagine how you were holding up.
"It's hot out..." Megumi spoke.
"Yeah I wonder if it's time for summer uniforms."
"You're looking more glum than usual Megumi, is this a wake or something?" The girl asked, watching the two underclassmen deflate even more.
"Maki! You aren't aware of why they're so down in the dumps?"
"What the heck are you talking about?" The girl asked, completely missing the disappointed looks of her peers.
"Someone really did die yesterday! One of the first year boys."
You walked around the city, the hoodie you had stolen from Yuji's room last night pulled tightly around you. You tried to cling to the smell, hoping that it would stick to your very being forever. Despite breathing in the fresh air outside, you still felt like you were suffocating.
You walked through the busy streets, avoiding even the slightest touch from anybody who passed by you. It was like everyone knew that you were having a horrible day because not a single living person so much as looked at you.
You preferred it that way. Nobody could see you tear streaked face if they weren't looking. You walked until you reached a small movie theater. You glanced disinterestedly at the options until your eyes landed on a specific title, "Human Earthworm 3". A sad smile etched itself on your lips, you remembered starting the series with Sasaki forever ago, mocking how bad it was.
You went up to the clerk, handing him some money in exchange for the ticket before you dragged yourself inside.
When you walked in you realized just how empty the theater was, only a few people present for the showing of the movie. You peered through the aisles trying to find the optimum seating before your eyes stopped on a boy your age eating popcorn while intently looking at the screen. You tiptoes towards the seat next to him, hoping and praying he didn't find you weird for choosing to sit by him instead of one of the many empty seats.
You cleared your throat.
"Excuse me...is this seat taken?" You questioned in a whisper. You saw the boy jump in his seat before quickly shaking his head no. You smiled softly before sitting down beside him. The boy looked incredibly skittish the whole time which you felt guilty about.
"I'm Y/n by the way. Figured I might introduce myself since we're going to watch one of the worst movies ever created together." The boy didn't speak for a moment, like he was getting over the shock of you talking to him.
You shivered at the cold rain drops that pelted at you from above. The sky was a deathly kind of grey, which didn't help the bad feeling that had already settled low in your stomach. You tried to focus on Ijichi's words, but the pain grew worse and worse the more you looked at the Detention Center.
"Definitely a curse womb. Our window verified that about three hours ago. They were able to evacuate about 90 percent of the occupants as well as all citizens within a 500 meter radius. The center has been sealed off while we work." Ijichi spoke.
You and Yuji raised your hands simultaneously. Ijichi called on Yuji first which made you shoot a glare at him.
"What is a window?"
"It's a term for those who can see curses but they aren't sorcerers." Ijichi then turned to you.
"So what is this cursed womb thingy?" You asked.
"It's exactly what it sounds like. A cursed womb is simply the fetal stage of a curse that will normally end up being a special grade." The term special grade made you freeze up, you could tell that Nobara and Megumi were feeling the weight of that term too. That made you come to the conclusion quickly that a special grade was nothing to sneeze at.
"Um so I'm not really grasping the whole 'special grade' thing..." Yuji admitted with a confused look on his face. Megumi and Nobara sighed, but you tried to listen and shake off the horrible feeling building in your gut.
Ijichi then suddenly appeared with a powerpoint and a pointer. You went to open your mouth and question it but Megumi gave you a silencing nod.
"Allow me to explain at idiot level," You took offense to that as someone who also didn't know, "First there is Grade 4, a good attack with a wooden bat is enough for them. Grade 3, if you have a handgun you can rest easy. Grade 2, its a close call with a shotgun. Grade 1, a tank could be insufficient. Special grade...well you might be on even footing if you carpet bomb it with cluster bombs." You choked back bile that had risen to your mouth.
Megumi finally spoke up beside you, "Normally a sorcerer who is on par with the cursed spirit would handle this and that person would be Gojo...but he's away on business." Of course that white haired bastard is.
Ijichi sighed almost melancholic, "Unfortunately we are a short-handed business and you will often have to undertake missions beyond your expertise. However, this case is a urgent and abnormal one so no matter what, do not fight. Run if you encounter the curse or die. You are only being dispatched for the verification and rescue of survivors. Listen to your fears and stay alive."
Just as Ijichi had finished his words of wisdom, you could hear commotion coming from the gate.
"Excuse me sir! Tell me where my son is! Where's Tadashi? I need to know if my Tadashi is alright?!" The woman cried. The man guarding the gate tried to keep her back, keep her cries low.
You grabbed at your stomach, dread coursing through your veins, replacing the blood that normally flowed steadily. Yuji noticed your drastic shift and grabbed your hand that was resting on your side.
"Y/n no matter what happens, I'm gonna keep you safe." He brushed his fingers comfortingly across your knuckles. You stared at him, visions of your best friend covered in blood flashing across your eyes. You gulped, nodding steadily.
"Y/n, Fushiguro, Kusgisaki...We'll save them, alright?" Yuji then said with the most conviction you had ever heard from him.
You all hummed in agreement, but you knew in your soul that the vows made were fruitless. You fiddled with the holsters that were strapped to each thigh, toying with the handles of the pistols you had begged Gojo to replace the pom poms for. Your heart skipped beats at the thought of using them.
This wasn't going to turn out well.
"Be careful, I will now put up my veil. Emerge from the darkness, blacker still. Purify that which is impure." Ijichi uttered. You watched as pitch black consumed the area above, concealing you all in a shield of void.
"Woah, day is turning into night!" You would've smiled at Yuji's comment if you weren't so incredibly nervous.
"That's part of the veil, it will keep us hidden from outsiders." Megumi explained before summoning his demon dog.
This caused you to squeal. You launched at the animal with snow white fur.
"Awww what a little cutie!" You baby talked, brushing through the animals fur causing the dog to wag his tail. Nobara and Yuji were quick to also show the dog affection.
A dog head plastered into the side of the wall oozing blood
You jolted away from the dog as if struck by lightning. The dog stared at you worriedly letting out a whine as your loss of contact. You reached out a shaky hand to entangle itself back into the dogs fur.
"I'm gonna protect you buddy." You whispered as Megumi opened the block door. The dog ran ahead but you stayed close behind. If your vision was correct than he wasn't gonna make it and you were going to be damned if that happened.
As you entered you could feel yourself wanting to puke all over again. The building that was supposed to only be two stories seemed like an endless maze.
"The door!" Megumi shout shook you from your thoughts.
"Hey its gone!" Yuji spoke. You drifted towards the black haired male as Yuji and Nobara started to walk in a circle chanting.
"What do we do? What do we do? It's a major problem!' They singsonged. You had the urge to join their antics but your body felt like lead.
"It'll be fine, the dog remembers the scent of the entrance." Megumi said. You let out a breath of relief. Yuji and Nobara began to fond over the dog once again which made you smile.
"You're pretty awesome Fushiguro." You said softly causing the boy to glance at you surprisedly. He grunted a response before walking forward.
"Let's keep moving."
The four of you continued to walk through the detention center, each creak that released from the metal overhead caused your skin you crawl.
However, as you entered another room, you all froze. There propped against the wall, was three bodies, two of which who no longer looked human, the third who was missing half of his body.
You looked away as Yuji approached the dead, kneeling to the ground and throwing up the contents of your stomach. Nobara came up from behind you, placing a comforting hand of your shoulder. She whispered sweet nothings trying to get you to calm down enough to stand back up.
You wiped your mouth, uttering a thank you before abandoning your puke corner to join the others.
"Let's take his body back with us, it's that womans son. His face isn't too mangled." Yuji said lowly. You went to oppose but Megumi beat you too it, dragging Yuji away from Tadashi's body.
"We still have to find and verify two more bodies. Leave this one behind."
"That makes no sense, as soon as we leave it'll all be gone and we won't be able to come back later-"
"I never said we would come back. I said to leave it behind!" Megumi yelled, stunning you into silence.
"What-"
"I'm not about to risk my own life for someone I had no intention of saving in the first place so forget it!" The silence was so loud it was suffocating. Yuji grabbed at Megumi's collar.
"Yu had no intention of saving him? Are you kidding?" Yuji screamed in Megumi's face. You walked forward trying to calm Yuji down.
"Yeah, its a juvie detention center. I had access to information about this guy. He hit and killed a little girl on her way home from school while driving without a license and that wasn't even his first offense." Megumi screamed back but he wasn't quite finished. "I know you've been on this whole saving people and giving them proper deaths kick, but tell me how are you going to feel when someone you save goes on to kill someone else later? Huh?!"
"Fushiguro, Yuji that's enough-" You started to say before getting cut off by your pink haired friend.
"So why'd you bother save me then?"
"You both need to cut it off! What the hell is up with you both? This is hardly the time or the place to be acting like..." Nobara spoke before disappearing into the ground.
"Kugisaki!" You screamed, running over to where she had disappeared, only to feel solid ground beneath you.
"Itadori! L/n! We have to run, we will find her later but right now-" Megumi stopped mid sentence. The energy in the room shifted suddenly, You looked at the wall next to you to find the head of Megumi's dog molded with the concrete. You bit back a sob as you thought about your promise to keep him safe earlier.
You then turned around, only to come face to face with the curse from your dream between Yuji and Megumi, staring directly at you.
You could feel tears start to pool in your eyes as you were forced to peer directly at it. Megumi and Yuji couldn't move either.
Yuji abruptly reached for his knife which you internally cheered for.
However, you were forced to watch the severance of your best friends arm in shock, watching as blood began to pool from the loss of the limb.
"Oh fuck me." You muttered.
Yuji wrapped his stub to try and stop the bleeding to the best of his ability.
"Hey Sukuna, if I die here that means you die too right? So you have to help me out." Yuji spoke trying to control the bleeding. You walked up slowly behind your friend, as to not aggravate the curse who was oh so patiently waiting.
"Not true in the slightest. Even if the parts of me that are inside you die, there are 18 other fragments of my soul that continue living. Though it is irritating that I don't have control of the body. So if you want to switch go ahead and switch, but once you do I will kill this punk sorcerer before the cursed spirit can." As if Sukuna could sense you coming from behind Yuji he spoke about you as well.
"Then I will have my way with your friend here and I'll make your punk ass watch as I breed her with my heir. I'll have my way with the other woman as well, she's a lively one." You shook in disgust at his words.
"I'm not gonna let you do that." Yuji said firmly. Sukuna shrugged his hypothetical shoulders.
"Oh is that right? But if you get so focused on me then everyone here is going to die." Yuji grunted, turning to Megumi just as the finger bearer shot pure cursed energy into the ground.
Yuji used his free hand to push you forward into Megumi's arms.
"Take Y/n and go find Kugisaki and get out of here. I will stay here and keep this guy occupied while you get to safety."
"No!" You screamed instantly, catching the two boys off guard.
"Y/n this isn't up for discussion-"
"I am not leaving you, absolutely not."
"Y/n you have to please." Yuji begged, but you continued to disagree. Yuji looked into Megumi's eyes, pleading. Megumi nodded slightly trying to hide just how unhappy he was about this arrangement as well.
Megumi grabbed you, firmly pressing you to his side, he tried to ignore your screams at him to stop as he summoned Nue to carry you away. But your voice was haunting as your screams echoed against the walls of the facility.
As soon as Megumi thought you were safe, he landed, still holding you. As soon as your feet touched solid ground you were quick to throw yourself at Megumi, punching him square in the jaw.
"You idiot! You should have let me stay and help him, if he switches with Sukuna he will die!" You screamed at the boy, your throat raw.
"L/n-" Megumi began, only to be silenced by the sight of you pulling your twin pistols on him.
"Let me through Fushiguro I have to get back to Yuji." You cried. Megumi shook his head no, calmly approaching you.
"L/n you know I can't do that."
"I will shoot-"
"No you won't. Listen, we will find Kugisaki and get her to safety and then we can both come back and help. But we are of no use to anyone if we are dead." Megumi calmly stated, taking a deep breath as he watched you lower your pistols in shame.
"I'm sorry-" "It's fine let's just find Kugisaki."
You watched for the second time as Megumi summoned his demon dog this time giving a different order, to find Nobara. You followed behind the hound as fast as you could.
You finally had your head on straight and with every step you felt more and more guilty for threatening your classmate who in reality had done nothing wrong.
The demon dog stopped suddenly, barking at a room. You and Megumi ran in as quickly as you could, the room revealed Nobara being held up to a curses mouth. The mushroom with arms and legs started to lower the girl into his mouth ever so slightly.
You ran, channeling cursed energy into your feet to launch yourself above the curse. You fired your pistols off simultaneously, killing the curse almost instantly. The other curses around you were quick to move in but were quickly dealt with by Megumi's serpent.
Nobara was caught by Megumi's frog who held the injured girl safely in his mouth.
"We're out of here!" You shouted, shooting your pistols at the curses who refused to die.
"You know I really hate frogs." Nobara whined.
"That's too damn bad!" Megumi responded.
You pet Megumi's remaining demon dog as it let out a howl to alert Yuji the three of you made it out.
"L/n and I will wait for Itadori." Megumi said to Ijichi. Ijichi nodded.
"Okay, I will bring Kugisaki to the hospital and then return for you."
"Honestly that wouldn't be the most helpful in this situation, what you could do is send a Grade 1 Sorcerer or higher."
If this goes south...if the worst case happens...
It will be my responsibility to end him
Megumi watched as you tried to calm yourself down as you prepared to reenter the death trap. You had begun to fiddle with your fingers, the demon dog standing protectively at your feet.
And to keep her safe.
A/n: It broke my heart to keep the white demon dog dead
"Okay but sending me in with zero training is a little nuts."
"How are there only four first years, that's literally nothing." Yuji asked biting on his popsicle.
"Think about it, how many people do you know that can see curses?" Megumi responded.
"No the real reason is who would want Giju as a teacher." You said matter of factly, resting your back on the railing next to Yuji.
"Awe n/n~ and I thought we had a moment~" Gojo mused appearing out of nowhere per usual. You narrowed your eyes at him mouthing a shut up in his direction.
"I have a feeling you'll warm up to me soon n/n, and I'm glad to see that your uniforms came in." You glanced down at the uniform you were currently wearing, and had to admit it was incredibly cute. The navy, pleated skirt, stopped an inch or two above your knees, and it was paired with a white long sleeve that you tucked into the skirt. It felt very reminiscent of your cheer uniform, comfortable and easy to move around in. The outfit also came with a cropped jacket of the same color. You paired the whole thing with some tights and some f/c leg warmers just for cuteness reasons.
If you were gonna spend all day everyday fighting literal monsters, you were gonna look cute doing so.
"Yeah I must say that it is pretty nice." You responded with a smile, stretching out your arms above your head.
"Thank you~ I put my whole heart and soul into designing these for you both!"
"Nevermind I hate it."
"You're so mean to me ಥ‿ಥ."
You stood to the left of Yuji as the three of you watched your classmate argue with a modeling scout. Though the streets of Harajuku were busy, you could still here her voice clearly as she practically harassed the man.
"Wait so this is the girl we have to talk to? This is real embarrassing." Yuji claimed, holding his sweet treats close to his chest and displaying the ugliest pair of sunglasses known to human kind.
"Yeah and so are you." Megumi sighed, he glanced past Yuji to get your reaction, only to find your spot empty. When he looked forward at the scene before him, he realized where you had gone.
"Honestly sir, open you eyes! Do you see how flawless her skin is? She is total billboard material!" You claimed, framing Nobara's face with your hands.
"Not to mention her feminine yet athletic build, she'd be the perfect model you blind fart." You said, pointing out her features while Nobara posed.
Megumi sighed heavily. 'Why do I have to be the only normal one' He thought as he stared at his three idiot classmates. Someone please put me out of my misery
"Hey over here!"
"Students this is-"
"Nobara Kugisaki, you all should be lucky that I'm your classmate."
~Stare~
"Hi I'm Yuji Itadori from Sendai!" Yuji exclaimed with a huge smile, pointing to himself.
"Y/n L/n also from Sendai." You waved with a grin. Megumi stood beside you silent, until you gave him a small nudge.
"Fushiguro..."
Nobara continued to look at the three of you. She stared down the two boys with the harshest glare you've ever seen, 'He looks like a potato, definitely the kind of kid who ate his own boogers.' She thought as she stared at the pink haired boy. Her gaze then shifted to Megumi who continued to blankly stare. 'And just his name? I can't stand high and might dudes! I bet he likes setting oil-slicked seagulls on fire.' Nobara shuddered at the thought, and then her gaze turned to you.
She swore she could see a halo floating ever so slightly above your head. Nobara could cry, thank god she had you and didn't have to deal with these losers on her own. Nobara grabbed you and pulled you to her side.
"This is what us girls have to deal with? Utterly ridiculous." She groaned. You laughed at the expressions her statement left on Yuji and Megumi's faces, a mix of hurt and displeasure.
"Are we going somewhere from here?" Megumi asked grumpily. There was no way that Gojo had gotten all of you together, if he wasn't gonna make you guys do anything.
"Well since we have all four of you here, and three of you are country folk, how about we go to Tokyo?" Gojo said with a large smile. Said three country folk immediately jumped into action, jumping around their white haired teacher, spouting different places you all could go while in the city.
Megumi watched in distaste as Gojo sucked in all the excitement. This was not at all going to end well for the three of you.
"We will be traveling to Roppongi!" Gojo shouted, watching you, Nobara, and Yuji light up like christmas trees.
Only for your lights to dim as soon as your arrived at the actual location.
"Gejo you jerk!" You screamed, launching yourself at the adult, only of course to be blocked by his forcefield. You pouted from your place on the ground, you were going to get the bastard one day. Gojo ignored your failed attack and the outcry from Yuji and Nobara.
"There is a pretty large cemetery nearby. Pair that with an abandoned building and you've got a curse." Gojo explained. Nobara continued to rant in the background while you and Yuji listened intently.
"So curses are more active around cemeteries?" Yuji asked.
"No, it's more the fact that people associate cemeteries with negative emotions. Sadness, fear, unease, thats what makes it a curse hotspot." You nodded along to Megumi's explanation.
"Yeah, like the school right?" You asked, Sasuke 2.0 nodded. Nobara stopped dead in her tracks.
"Wait you guys didn't even know that yet?" You and Yuji shook your heads. Megumi sighed heavily, explaining the situation that the two of you had gotten yourselves into.
"Wait so let me get this straight," Nobara pointed to Yuji, "He's the vessel for Sukuna," Nobara then pointed to you, "And she has somehow managed to form a connection with the evil lord of all things dark and gruesome, Sukuna." You nodded with a tight lipped smile. Nobara scooted away from the group, crossing her fingers and muttering 'no way' over and over.
"I want to know what the four of you are capable of. Nobara, Y/n, Yuji, you go into the building and exorcise that curse."
"But wait, I thought only curses could exorcise curses? And I can't use Jujutsu yet." Yuji said, you nodded just as confused.
"Well if you look at it, your technically half curse already, luckily for you both however, I didn't plan on sending you in empty handed." Gojo handed Yuji a blade.
"These are cursed tools. Weapons imbued with cursed energy, since the two of you haven't mastered the art of Jujutsu, you guys will rely on these for the time being."
"I swear to god if you hand me pom poms, I will lose my mind." You threatened.
Gojo just smiled.
"You've got to be literally joking!?" You screamed, frustration dripping from your tone. Nobara and Yuji watched as you paced back and forth holding a pair of silver and navy pom poms.
"How the hell am I supposed to kill a curse with these?! They're literally glued together pieces of glitter paper!" You shouted, then mumbling about how much you hate Gojo under your breath. While throwing your tantrum, you missed the entirety of the plan that Nobara had informed Yuji about, so by the time you had calmed down, you couldn't see either one of them.
"Oh great..." You groaned, dragging your feet up the stairs in the hopes you would be able to find your pink haired friend.
As you went floor to floor you could understand why curses felt so drawn to this place. The building was damp and freezing cold. The wall were covered in varying degrees of dust and decay, with every nest of dust bunnies you walked through, a cloud of smoke blew in your face causing you to cough.
You could feel a dull ache begin to rest in your head.
'Oh great here comes a migraine' You decided you would blame the pain on Gojo as well. However, with each step you took, the pain grew worse and worse. When the world began to spin, you decided that stopping your search for a moment and sitting down would be your best option. As soon as your back slid down the wall, your vision went black.
Freezing. It was freezing cold. You grasped at the sides of your arms, rubbing up and down, trying to generate some sort of heat to warm your body with. But nothing was working. It just seemed to get colder.
The darkness infiltrating the room didn't help much either. You slid your hand across the wall, hoping that if you continued to follow one path that it would bring you to the exit. Your journey along the wall seemed to go on forever. You could feel yourself growing frustrated at the lack of progress made. Then you tripped, skinning your knee on the concrete.
When you tried to collect your bearings, you felt a puddle. You brought your hand that was covered in the strange substance puddling on the floor up to your face.
Just then a light flickered, leaving you to come face to face with your hand covered in blood. When you looked up you saw the head of a dog plastered into the wall, dripping blood.
You woke up with a start, hearing the sound of Nobara screaming coming from the floor above you. You shook off the dizziness to the best of your ability and tore up the steps. However, when you arrived it seemed as though you had missed the action entirely.
You walked up Yuji and Nobara who seemed to be having a heart to heart about this random child who stood with them.
What they didn't notice was another ugly fucker trying to sneak up on them. You did the only thing you could do and punched the pom pom through the stomach of the creature. The being disintegrated, letting you see the shocked faces of your two classmates.
"Or well you were going to be executed, but luckily enough for you, I am awesome and it's just suspended instead." Gojo said, sparkles surrounding him.
"You couldn't have started with that?!" You screamed, launching yourself at the white haired man, only for him to step out of the way letting you fall to the ground.
"What's suspended mean? You're just putting my death on hold?" Yuji questioned, ignoring your seething form on the ground.
"Yup! Let me just explain from the top." Gojo said, taking a second finger out of his pocket. Just the sight of the thing made your skin crawl.
"This is the same curses object as the thing you ate. There's twenty of them in total and we possess 6."
"Oh like each finger and toe?" Yuji asked.
"No-" Gojo began.
"He has four arms right..? The monster guy." You added, deflating just thinking about the monster currently inhabiting your best friends body.
"Yes, Sukuna has four arms." Gojo threw the finger into the air before blasting it into the wall. The finger was unscathed much to your disappointment. "As you can see, we can't destroy them, the curse is just that strong, and it continues to grow stronger every day. That's where you come in. You're a vessel capable of holding Sukuna, so why kill you right now when we can use you to absorb all of Sukuna first? When you die the curse will die with you, sounds like an awesome plan right?"
The room went silent as you made eye contact with Yuji. He has two choices, each a hell of their own.
"Now why don't we take a field trip?"
Seeing Sasaki after everything had gone down left you feeling some sort of way. It was nice to see that she was relatively unscathed despite everything that happened. What was worse was being unable to tell her that everything would be alright, because in reality it wasn't.
Iguchi hadn't woken up yet, doctors said that nothing was wrong with him physically but he was still comatose. Itadori would have to die eventually. Sasaki would have to lament unraveling the finger and causing curses to attack, and you would have to live with the guilt of feeding it to your friend.
Nothing was okay.
"Are casualties like these from curses pretty common?" Yuji asked. You sat beside him, your head resting in your knees. It was a question you wanted the answer to as well, though you could tell that it wouldn't be a nice one.
"Well this one was a rather exceptional case, though in terms of damage it's relatively normal. It's a good day on the job when a person dies a normal death after encountering a curse...Finding a body that's torn to pieces is actually one of the better outcomes." The older man finished.
You could feel your body go rigid. You could've actually died back there, the thought of that hadn't even set in yet. You were lucky to be alive right now and in one piece.
Yuji could sense your tenseness, moving a hand of his in reach so you could grab it.
"If you choose to pursue Sukuna, you're going to see some pretty gruesome things and I can't guarantee you won't end up that way yourself. So, I guess you can choose which hell you want."
Yuji softly packed the urn full of his grandfathers ashes, you couldn't even stomach watching him do it knowing that you didn't even get to say goodbye to the old man.
"So Geju if Yuji eats all of Sukuna's fingers will less people get attacked by curses in general?" You asked.
"Yes. Think of the fingers like magnets, they kind of draw other curses in, so with them gone.."
"Less curses will be attracted..so do you got that finger?" Yuji said, putting the lid on the urn. Gojo hummed, handing over the finger. Yuji made a face before choking it down. As soon as he had swallowed though, you could feel the energy change.
You could hear Sukuna cackles spill from Yuji's lips and it shot fear through your heart. What if Yuji couldn't handle more than one finger, what if Sukuna fully possessed him right now?
But the cackles faded away into Yuji's laughs as he complained about how disgusting the finger was and how he would have to do that several more times.
You wouldn't let those stupid higher ups kill Yuji, even if it was the last thing you would do.
"This is really deep in the mountains." Yuji commented, fiddling with the straps on his bookbag.
"Are we even in Tokyo anymore?" You asked, pulling your wagon filled with all of your things.
"This is what the outskirts of Tokyo look like, and did you really need to bring all of that stuff?" Gojo asked, looking at the piles of bags and boxes you had stacked in your wagon.
"Last I checked you told me to pack everything I would need and I did." You responded sticking your tongue out.
"Where's Fushiguro?"
"He's being treated by a sorcerer and at the moment he's fast asleep."
"Wait who's Fushiguro?"
"He's the guy who helped us at the school." Yuji responded, a look of understanding crossed your features. You'd have to thank him when you run into him next after all he had done everything in his power to shield you from Sukuna that night.
You zoned out for most of the walk. The weight of the world finally setting in. At some point Yuji was going to die, your worst fear come to fruition. Not to mention that this job was lowkey a death sentence and there was no real guarantee that you would make it out alive either. And what would they tell your parents if one day a curse maimed you to the point of being unrecognizable? Car accident, right place at the wrong time? Just thinking about it made you want to shrivel up on the side walk.
"Right now you both are going to have a little interview with the Principal and you better make a good impression or he could deny you admission."
"WHAT'S THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN? DO I JUST GET EXECUTED RIGHT THEN AND THERE?" Yuji screamed. Suddenly you could feel the energy shift once more.
"Oh so you're not the boss?" The voice snarled. You shuddered.
"I'm sorry he just does that now." Yuji apologized smacking a hand over the mouth that had suddenly appeared on his cheek.
"What an amusing body you have now." Gojo commented.
"I do owe you a good favor now. Once I make this punk's body my own you'll be the first one I kill! Don't even get me started on what I'll do to that girl." Sukuna shouted.
"I genuinely don't know what the hell I did to this guy but for the love of all things holy can he just leave me alone?!" You groaned, speeding up your pace to get ahead of them and away from Sukuna.
The three of you arrived at the door and you could feel your nerves spike. What would happen if you guys didn't get accepted? I mean technically you could return back to your normal school and continuing cheering and being normal and happy and not worrying about dying every day. But Yuji couldn't. This was the one shot that Yuji had.
"You're late Satrou. Eight minutes late. As usual, not quite enough to chastise you for. I told you to fix that habit."
Awe those plushies are so cute!
"If it's not enough to chastise me for, then don't chastise. Besides, you're just sitting around making dolls anyway. Meet Principal Masamichi Yaga."
"So these are the two latest trouble makers."
"Yuji Itadori. I'm into girls like Jennifer Lawrence and Y/n L/n! This is an honor!" Yuji shouted. You facepalmed at his entrance. Yaga then looked at you for your response.
"Y/n L/n sir, it's nice to meet you."
"We'll start with the boy, Satoru if you could escort Miss L/n outside please." Gojo nodded.
You sat outside the doors with Gojo behind you.
"You know I'm not gonna let those higher ups kill Yuji right?" You suddenly spoke up.
"I figured and I'm not gonna stop you. I'd do the same thing if I were you." You hummed in response.
A few minutes of comfortable silence passed. "If my interview goes well and I'm admitted into this school do you promise to help me keep Yuji safe?" You asked. It took Gojo a few minutes to answer, as if even he was unsure on whether or not he could uphold such a promise.
"Yeah kid, I promise."
When Yuji came out covered in bruises you figured you were absolutely screwed.
"Miss L/n, I'll start simple, what are you here for?"
"Honestly sir...I'm here because of what happened that night." Yaga stayed silent, continuing his crafting.
"Explain."
"Well sir, I've never been so scared in my life. Surrounded by all those monsters or well curses and being unable to defend myself or even help my friends...it was horrible. I..I don't ever want to feel that again."
"Why Jujutsu High?"
"I feel like my answer to that question is incredibly selfish, I just want to be with Yuji. After all this will be the only time with him I have left before his execution and to be honest I'd rather spend this time with him then nothing at all."
"What can you offer as a student here? Itadori can consume Sukunas cursed objects, Satoru is practically invincible, but what can you do? Or are you just here to buy some time for your friend." Yaga asked
"I...I'd be lying sir if I said I wasn't here to try and protect Yuji. I don't have much to offer, I could barely even help my friends while we were being attacked by curses without Yuji's or Fushiguros help. All I have are my dreams of small glimpses into the future. I want to help people, I never want to see what happened to Sasaki and Iguchi happen to anyone else."
You hadn't even realized it until you had finished your speech that you had begun to cry. You quickly wiped away tears and uttered apologies.
"You have a lot of heart Miss L/n and that is a trait that Jujutsu Sorcerers need. I must warn you however, that this job is a dangerous one. You will see lot of horrific things, there will be death, you will lose comrades in the field and you will see horrors beyond your imagination. There are times where you are going to need to shut off that big heart of yours to keep yourself going. Are you going to be able to do that?"
"Yes sir."
"Then welcome to Jujutsu High."
"So you're telling me that my interview consisted of getting my ass kicked but you and him just got to talk? This is unfair treatment!"
"I can't help that I'm just well liked Yuji." You responded back tauntingly. Gojo laughed at your fighting as he lead you to your rooms.
"WOW THIS IS HUGE!" Yuji exclaimed, immediately hopping on his bed excitedly and hurriedly looking around his room.
"All the second and third years are out at the moment, but you'll meet them soon." Gojo said, before pointing you in the direction of your room.
You immediately got started on decorating your room. It took you an hour or two but you finally made your room look more livable.
Just as you hung your last poster, you heard a knock at the door. Since whoever it was had the courtesy to knock you knew that it wasn't Yuji.
You walked up to the door and opened it revealing Fushiguro.
"Gojo sent me to come get you, he decided out of the goodness in his heart to take us out for dinner."
"Oh okay I'm just surprised that it wasn't Yuji who came and got me."
"Oh trust me he tried the bastard just insisted that I get you."
You smiled, "Well, that's a good thing cause I wanted to talk to you." Megumi quirked his eyebrow. You wanted to talk to him?
"I just wanted to say thank you for protecting me that night you know when Sukuna awakened."
"Yeah no problem." Megumi responded cooly but on the inside he was literally dying, he couldn't not be awkward in front of you.
"It's actually Go- you know what nevermind bastard deserves it."
It was so dark and so...cold. You were practically shivering walking through the building. But most of all this place just reeked of death.
"I told you I would get control of this brats body girl, and now you're mine." You turned to look at the voice to see Yuji drenched in blood with a hole through his chest.
You turned around only to be met with the even scarier sight of a curse coming right at you, Sukuna's cackles blended in perfectly with your screams.
"That's not Itadori anymore...that's Ryomen Sukuna."
Red eyes pierced through your very being, the intensity of the gaze shook your soul. You stared back, hoping and praying the red would fade back into Yuji's kind brown eyes, but as the red glow grew more intense, you began to lose hope.
"Girl I'm talking to you..." A voice emanated from Yuji that wasn't his. Megumi snapped into action, throwing you behind him and shielding you from the King of Curses gaze. As soon as you were protected, the red eyes faded into their natural hue.
Yuji now stood before you, looking as confused as ever. He looked at Megumi who stood fiercely in front of you, his eyes then shot towards you. You looked completely terrified, your body covered in bruises from the debris, your uniform ripped and bloody. However, what caught his attention the most was that your fear was aimed at him.
"Under Jujutsu Regulation, Yuji Itadori, by law I will now exorcise you...as a curse."
"Huh?"
Your eyes darted from Yuji to Megumi as the tension grew suffocating. The tattoos that had once stained Yuji's body had disappeared and his melodic voice had returned back to him. You wanted so desperately believe that he was completely back to normal, but then you looked at Megumi who had surrounded the two of you with swirling dark shadows, and his body language told you to stay put.
"So what's the situation?" A voice came from behind you, startling both you and Megumi. The man was incredibly handsome and from the looks of it, Megumi knew him as you saw his once tense body, relax in recognition.
While the two talked, your gaze went back to Yuji who stared at you worriedly. You wanted so badly to run over to him and wrap your arms around him. You didn't even notice that you had stood up until you felt a hand grab your shoulder, you looked back to see Megumi shaking his head in disapproval.
"I got an earful from the higher ups that the special grade cursed object is missing." The white haired man said nonchalantly, your gaze shot straight to your pink haired friend who suddenly had a guilty smile on his face. You also felt more than a little guilty since it was you who had encouraged him to eat it in the first place.
"Sorry but...I ate that thing." Yuji said with a guilty smile.
"...Really?"
A cacophony of 'he did' rang out into the otherwise silent night. You watched as the white haired man approached your best friend and looked him up and down, examining him for changes that Sukuna had brought on. You yourself could already name one and that was the second pair of eye slits that now rested under Yuji's eyes.
"Could you switch out with Sukuna at will?" The question was shocking to everyone there. You looked at Yuji in a panic, let the monster who had possessed his body take control, the same one who specifically wanted to talk to you. Yuji looked just as concerned at the thought.
"Don't worry," the white haired man said, "If he gets a little too big for his britches, I can handle it." Yuji finally nodded and you retained your position of hiding behind Megumi.
You watched as your best friend once again became riddled with black lines and another set of eyes. The evil radiating off of him was nothing short of scary, and the sheer speed at which he now moved was more than just alarming. Within seconds of the monster taking back over, his face now was only centimeters away from you and Megumi. The white haired man simply sat on his back as if he wasn't in any danger.
"You better stay right there girl, after I kill this annoying piece of shit you're gonna tell me why you ignored me." Not Yuji said. Megumi despite being bruised and bloody still sat directly in front of you, shelling you completely from the unsettling gaze coming from your best friends body.
Gojo witnessed the interaction with a raised eyebrow. He would definitely be prying Megumi for more details later, but for now, he had some kids to show off too.
The one sided battle lasted only ten seconds, but it didn't leave you any less in wonder at the white haired man. You watched with a relieved sigh as the tattoo's dissipated from your best friend's body once more. If anything, you were just glad that he still had some sort of control over himself. Your peace of mind disappeared after you saw your best friend lose consciousness.
"Wait what are you doing-" You began, before you felt your mind go dark.
Your body slumped against the black haired sorcerer, this was the first time that Megumi had seen you look peaceful, though he couldn't exactly blame you for being so sporadic, after all you and your friends have been mercilessly attacked.
"If he wakes up and isn't completely possessed by Sukuna, then he could be used as a vessel." Gojo remarked to Megumi, throwing the pink haired boys body over his shoulder.
"But I wanna ask you in particular, what do you wanna do with him?" Megumi pondered for a minute, his eyes shifting from you to Yuji.
"Regulations say he should be executed on the spot but..."Megumi began, Gojo raised an eyebrow at the boys hesitation.
"I don't want him to die." Gojo nodded. The white haired man then turned his gaze to your sleeping figure. "Now tell me about Miss Cheerleader over there."
"All I know if that she's one of Itadori's friends who was here during the attack. Well that and that she's the one who even told him to eat the finger in the first place, it was strange." Megumi recounted, remembering how you had thrown the finger at Itadori while he was being held by the one curse, how you were so sure that nothing bad was going to happen to your friend.
"Did Sukuna say anything weird to her before I arrived." Gojo inquired.
"Just that he wanted to talk to her." Megumi responded. Gojo hummed, turning around.
"Well let's go and make sure to bring her along, I'm gonna have some questions for her when she wakes up."
Blood. Why was there always so much blood? Your eyes molded with the figure in front of you. Their claws were sharp, and their body was covered in black lines.
I've gotten rid of him girl, now he can't save you.
The voice cooed. Blood dripped down from their chest, a gaping wound at the center of it all. When you finally could make out the face of the person in front of you, you let out a bloodcurdling scream.
You woke up in a cold sweat, your heart stuttering in your chest as you remembered your nightmare. Your hands moved down to grip your blankets, looking for the comforting sensation of the fabric you shielded yourself with every night. However, this time they felt unfamiliar. You looked down to find yourself covered with what looked like hospital sheets.
Your eyes moved up to look at your surroundings for the first time. However the first thing you saw was not a hospital setting.
"Good morning sleepyhead!" the white haired man said with a small wave and way too big of a smile. Your brain lagged for several moments, your mouth and eyes agape as your mind came to terms with the fact that everything you had been hoping and praying hadn't happened last night, actually did.
"Oh Shoko didn't warn me you would have a brain injury, maybe I need to get her back in here?"
Then you screamed.
After your much needed screaming session, you sat up fully, your hands nestled in your lap, and your mind racing.
'Where was Yuji?' you thought. The last you had seen of him was when the white haired man, who was currently trying to garner your attention, knocked his ass out. You could feel yourself shaking, what if something had happened to him? Was there really a chance that you would never see your best friend again?
Gojo, although he presented himself aloof, could immediately tell what you were thinking.
"Yuji is alive he just needed to be kept somewhere else for safe keeping, and listen I'll cut you a deal. If you answer some of my questions, I can take you to see him."
His words made you relax almost instantly. 'Thank god'. After Gojo saw your body destress, he started his inquisition.
"Why did you feed Yuji the finger? Megumi told me that you urged him to." You fiddled with your fingers. If you told him the truth he would probably think you were absolutely insane, after all that's why you hadn't anyone. But the more you thought about it, this guy literally saw my best friend get overtaken by a monster, so how crazy was it really?
"I've been having this reoccurring dream for close to a month now, about...well everything that happened. In the dream I fed Yuji the finger and he was fine, that's how I knew I needed to do it. Though I don't feel great about my decision now." You said, feeling your eyes start to water.
"I just have one more question for you and then I will bring you to see him I promise," Gojo began, "Why was Sukuna so interested in you?"
The question made you still. Just tinking about the monster inside your best friends body made your blood run cold. "I...I honestly don't know. When I grabbed the finger I heard this voice trying to persuade me to use its power, but that was it. Don't tell me that bloodthirsty freak has formed some sort of attachment to me."
Gojo couldn't help but laugh at your declaration.
"Though to be honest, we're unsure of how Sukuna feels about you, and it will stay that way until we have the two of you interact again. Now speaking of that, how about we go see Yuji!" Gojo said. his tone switching into a far more happy-go-lucky one. However, when he saw your face it was one of shock and horror.
Seeing Yuji tied up was horrific to say the least, your best friend who wouldn't even hurt a fly was being treated like a serial killer. Though to be fair according to Gejo or was it Goju, or whatever, the thing that now inhabited his body was far worse than just a serial killer.
As if sensing your presence, the boy jolted awake seeing you covered in bandages and looking at him sorrowfully.
"Y/n? Are you okay? Where am I?" Yuji shot off question after question. He tried to advance towards you but was held back by the restraints.
"Yuji Itadori, it has been decided that you will be secretly executed."
"HUH/WHAT?!"
Dividers once again by @cafekitsune cause they're so pretty
