How do they react to stressful situations?

How do they deal with disasters, complications, andfailures?

Ioane tends to work himself up, but remembering the tenetsof Nagakabouros to remain in motion and not stagnate, tries to calm down andfind a solution to the current situation. He does his best to avoid fights,even if it means sacrificing his dignity. Bilgewater is a cutthroat place; onewrong move, and you’ll end up on someone’s hit list. Ioane can defend himself,sure, but he’s still a normal guy. If people wanted to kill him, they very wellcould. Fortunately, he keeps to himself and avoids any affiliation with thenumerous gangs in the city. When the city descended into chaos following Gangplank’sassassination, Ioane had sequestered himself in his house, far away from theconflict. He doesn’t want any trouble. That isn’t to say that Ioane’s spineless.He’d be willing to protect the people he cares about, but his current ties are onlyfriends in the loosest sense.

How involved are they with their hobbies? Casual or intense?

Ioane’s favorite pastime, without a doubt, is reading. Hehas a ton of books (for a Bilgewater) in his house, a collection that he’samassed over the last couple of years. Books aren’t as popular a commodity inBilgewater as silks or spices, so they’re a bit harder to come by. He buys themup whenever he can.

If he isn’t busy, he’ll spend most of the day reading, pouringover every detail. He’s very curious about the world outside of Bilgewater,which he has never left, but he also wants to understand the strange places andpeople that he sees in his visions.

Ioane Fun Facts

Ioane has a strong singing voice. He doesn’t have a very wide range, but he can keep tone and sing for a while. Comes with the territory of having such big lungs and growing up listening to and singing shanties.

Despite his relatively peaceful nature, Ioane has killed people before. He didn’t particular enjoy it, but he’s not a man to be trifled with once roused. He hasn’t done it to humans (at least to anyone’s knowledge), but his with familiarity with anatomy and experience with cutting up monsters into tiny pieces would make him a very bad man to upset.

Ioane doesn’t scare easily. He’s fought too many sea serpents to fear men. He can be surprised and caught off guard, but he isn’t intimidated easily. Also helps that everyone’s usually smaller than him.
