So sp rank,, my thoughts on that lore wise is pretty loose right now so i'm gonna try and base my ideas off of sp rice's wiki (since we only have boston's sp design leaked). in her wiki it's said that she was chosen by the gods of beginning and condensed the power of imagination that she remade the world. maybe she has so much soul power (more than the ur rank, whose class is considered one of a kind)— that she surpasses that rank and is now classified as a god because of it, yet still can be contracted under an attendant. God, imagining contracting a food soul in that rank? that's so much soul power, oof, would attendants even be able to handle that much soul power? again, my ideas on the sp rank is very loose. all i know is that they're expensive as /fuck/. i've also heard beer is getting an sp form as well?? pretty excited about that!

Iirc, one of SP Rice's lines mentions that she doesn't actually have a contract with MA anymore, but still thinks of them as her Master Attendant.

First off I wanna say sorry for taking so long with this oops.

It’s probably a very, very good thing that SP Souls appear to be exempt from the contract system, because as Echo said, it would be so much Soul Power, and I’m pretty sure that some humans already have trouble accepting Soul Power as it is. Hell some humans are probably completely unable to adapt to the contract and I am absolutely sure that some humans have been killed by it. I don’t particularly want to imagine what would happen if a human tried to contract a SP rank Soul, but I can say with certainty that it wouldn’t be pretty.

The being chosen by Gods thing is interesting though, and it actually - yawn yawn I know - makes me think about Croissant again, because really, if any Food Soul is going to be given a SP rank, it’s going to be him, or possibly Canele. I can’t imagine he’s too pleased about that lmao. But the existence of SP Souls could also hint as to why Croissant is Like That - hell maybe UR units are like demigods of some kind, and the SP units are the True Gods. Some shit like that I dunno.

But then again, are we to assume that this rank is given to Souls as a kind of upgrade? Or is the notion that SP Rice and M Rice are two completely different Souls of the same line? One’s the lowest rank of Soul possible and the other is just crazy boosted up on Soul Power. I know it says chosen, which implies that yes it is an upgrade and some kind of gift from the Gods, but then what have these Souls done to warrant such an upgrade? I can understand Beer and Rice too to an extent, but why the fuck would you make Boston a SP unit? Unless the Gods that gave him that upgrade just really wanted to watch the world burn. I mean I can respect that but, yikes.

Abilities for Iolite (specifically Bloodshot Iolite) please?

Iolite: For one thing, Iolite could have magnetism or the ability to manipulate them. With this, they could have a compass sense or a heightened sense of direction. Iolites were said to be used as navigators by the Vikings because of its strong pleochroism. Iolite is a vison stone. You could also give them a kind of sensory tracking ability. It helps fix perspective to those who feel are jinxed and aids astral travel. Iolite could have a heightened sense of sight, able to see objects from a far distance. Or they could have a special kind of eyesight that can see auras or see through illusions/tricks. Iolite is a gem of power and endurance. They could form protective shields around their allies or enhance their abilities temporarily. 

Bloodshot Iolite/Iolite Sunstone: Said to combine the properties of both Iolite and Sunstone. You can check abilities suggested for Sunstone here. It does have its own metaphysical properties, though. Iolite-Sunstone is said to help one move forward and actualize their dreams and goals. Combine this with it being a creative stone used for art, imagination, and manifestation and I think they can bring art to life. That or they can create holograms from their gem and use the holograms for whatever they need.  The stone helps in communication and expression. They could have abilities dealing with sound: sound manipulation, sound waves, voice mimicry, enticement, etc. Ioite Sunstone combine the wind and fire energies of their respective parts. You could give them lightning or the ability to create thunderstorms.
