also i was thinking on this last night but like. where are the other archivists? from like other institutions? like archivists tend to talk, y’know - so they can send researchers to each other and also materials and all that jazz and i’m over here, looking at how isolated the magnus archives is, and like i know it’s for the plot bc scary eldritch like beings but also where are the other archivists!

where’s shelly from the little historical society a few towns away calling up jon being like ‘hey do you have any statements regarding happenings from my specific town i’ve got a researcher here who wants to know’ like. idk why i need to know so bad bUT LIKE I DO

i’m lucky enough that i don’t have very many close friends in relationships, but occasionally the ones that are come out with some kinda adorable bullshit and i just gotta grit my teeth through it (i’m kidding, i love them and i love that they’re happy, but also Please Don’t)

I had a bunch of veggies that weren't gonna last very long in my fridge so I just made the biggest pot of chowder I could manage. Like, my soup pot was filled to the brim. I think I put in 7 potatoes. I have so many left overs!!! Can't wait to eat chowder for the next 4 days.
