Marius: Just found out that making a mistake doesn’t mean I have to hate myself and that I don’t have to be perfect to be a good person.
Marius: Now, this is news to me and not what I was told as a child-
I'm watching a bunch of campaigns on World of Io, their hardcore Strahd and Phandelver campaigns are so funny and good, and I like Devil's Due a lot, and I tried to start Deadbeats because they are putting a new season out and the first season started 4 years ago buttt....
I get that it's a take on a detective's One Last Job but I am surprised at myself that I have apparently hit the no more procedurals limit. I just can't do another cop series I think, not in any format. If it was noir and private detectives, that's a whole different vibe and I'd be cool!
And it's got seasons so maybe it changes up, but I haven't made it through the first episode because I legit found myself cringing when a character called another 'a good cop'.
idk. I like these players, I like the world, I like the DM. I don't engage with urban fantasy actual plays at all really, aside from Neoscum, Gutter and whatever Rude Tales has going on.
I don't know if they have a fandom on Tumblr, but if anyone has watched World of Io's 'Deadbeats', do they stay cop centric? Do they break away from that whole cop going outside the law to solve the case thing? Cos I'll watch an ex-cop series. I'll watch something where people quit. If they quit because they were being held back because they couldn't do as much violence tho lol, that's a no.
Ended up finishing this before the other comic I had initially started on first 😂😅 oops lol
I'm scared to start any of the World of Io's hardcore campaigns 'cos I know characters do die in them for good and I always get so invested and I just know I'll be so sad and cry T_T
