First week of spring quarter done
20 units this quarter. It’s going to be tough. I’ll definitely need to rethink the way I study, especially for my IPDM I class. Any study tips would be amazing!

My Black Friday ad looks ridiculous.
Let's hope the ad is longer than 3 days this time. Ugh!
It can't be all gumdrops and rainbows all the time..
Most of you probably think I'm some grouchy guy who hates life. I know I gripe about my job a lot, but really I enjoy what I do. To be honest, most department managers haven't had the opportunity to experience all that I have in the last 3 months. Not only have I ran my department (inventory/pricing), but I've basically have ran the entire store (scheduling, hiring, training, communicating with DM, oh and planning a store remodel) I think what frustrates me the most is that my other managers either one, only care about their "department", or two lack a sense of urgency that is needed to manage the store properly. It's also rough running a $1.5 million store on 5 associates and three managers. I really do enjoy my job; I'm thankful that I've been trusted to be given all this responsibility. I am excited that we finally have a General Manager in training, and that in a month's time I can, hopefully really focus on my department for the first time in three years. Three years? Yes, my old GM basically had all their department managers do the stuff they didn't wanna do, which the attention to our departments lacked. I'm also hopeful that I can learn even more from my new GM, and he will work with me to hopefully get me promoted. Now, if I could make more than $24k a year we'd be set; however I make enough to "survive", which is tough for my "greedy/want it all" mentality. I just wanted to reflect on the last three months of my career, and trying to stay positive.
One more day of work then a 3 day weekend. Much needed as my DM showed up randomly today. He didn't once give me shit about anything, but kindly pointed out the "detail" work he wanted me to do when I had time. Best not give me shit, I am after all working 2 very time consuming jobs for the same pay.
