“Yea, forty years didst thou sustain them in the wilderness, so that they lacked nothing…”. I have always envisioned the wilderness as a desolate God-forsaken land that the disobedient Israelites wandered through for forty years. Sand dunes, no life, no sustainment beyond what God provided miraculously. While they did wander through some areas that fit that description, most likely they tarried in wilderness that resembles my home in NW Wyoming. God has always used the wilderness to cleanse and prepare His people for great work.
