Morax & Ipos: *casually having tea* Balam: *walks by dragging a tied up Murmur, growling and cursing*
Murmur: *crying but accepting his fate*
Ipos: ...uh...what just happened? Kalego: Murmur and Iruma were spending the day together at the bookstore and Murmur let him get a book that Lied Shax recommended. Morax, raising a brow: So? The boy wanted to gain more knowledge! What's bad about that? Kalego, places the book down: It's recommended by Shax. Morax, Ipos: *read the title* ... Ipos: Welp...Murmur's dead.
(Shax was later tied up by vines and lectured for four hours by Balam)
Oh great space soup man. Please tell us what witness Ipon and Witness Mammon are supposed to be
What do you think the witnesses think of the woolhaven witnesses considering how separate they seem?
Azzy and the gang were pretty excited about another witness coming, especially none of them have interacted with her in centuries.
As it turns out though, their excitement wasn't mirrored by Ipos
Ipos has a higher and mighty attitude because she was never kicked out of her home. Yngya didn't care so long as Ipos never hurt her followers, unlike the Bishops who refused to have any competition in their lands.
Ipos, her physical body being a tree and all that, would ever so often settle down into the dirt, and, sometimes, she'd... Fall asleep for a few decades and completely miss things, like battles or a goddess being killed. She keeps that fact to herself.
To add injury to insult, while rooted down, she did pick up a little of the rot into her system near the end. She was in horrid pain as it spread through her vascular system.
The rot made her already aggressive personality even more so, especially to the other witnesses, which she refuses to call family.
Oh, poor, poor Mammon. The others all view him with pity.
The youngest of the Witnesses, he came to the world to watch the insides of Ewefall a scant 600 years ago.
He watched the creation of the rot and it's slow spread through the heart of the mountain with each lamb killed. Unfortunately, it spread to him, too.
At some point, several rotlings became embedded in him. Most of them faded away into groaning husks stuck to Mammon's body, but the two with the strongest personalities remained--a follower of the Bishops and a follower of Yngya.
Now all three live in Mammon's head. Mammon controls the body, more or less, but the other two can force their words through his mouth and will argue for hours, leaving Mammon to feel the pain in his jaw and head. The two don't actually remember much of who they were, just the general gist of their lives and that they hate each other.
Because of his/their state, Mammon is given a lot of gentle sympathy from the other Witnesses. Mammon does consider the others his siblings, even Ipos.
