Details of a new plan by Iran’s parliament to enforce sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz: A new central body will be established, chaired by the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council.

It must report every six months to the Supreme Leader and the President. It will include representatives from: – Armed Forces General Staff

– Ministries of Intelligence, Defense, Foreign Affairs, and Oil

– Economy, Roads & Urban Development

– Environmental Protection Organization

– Judiciary and Parliament. Vessels with any direct or indirect link to Israel (ownership, cargo, or crew) will be banned from transiting the Strait. Countries undertaking hostile actions against Iran or its partners—political, economic, security, media, cultural, or military—will also be denied passage. States attempting to influence global oil prices against Iran’s interests, including through non-conventional cargo flows, may be barred from transit. If any Iranian vessel is seized anywhere in the world, Iran’s armed forces are mandated to detain vessels of equivalent value belonging to the responsible party in the Strait of Hormuz.
