What movie have you watched most recently? What did you think of it? Paths of Glory. It was really good! I think it’s the first WW1-themed movie I’ve seen where an officer actually leads an attack instead of just sitting in the trench dugout doing fuck all.

What kind of music is stuck in your head a lot lately? The good 2000s gothic / symphonic metal shit.

✍️ Do you find it easy to draw or write about your characters?

I'm out of practice so drawing my characters feels like climbing uphill rn, but writing about them is always a blast, especially if they're in an original world where I don't feel like I need to know tons of pre-established lore to write about them.

🦮 Are there any disabilities/disorders/illnesses/etc you tend to give your characters?

Almost all of them end up with psychological or physical conditions, whether I initially set out to give them any or not too. I think a lot of the time this just comes from me not really knowing what it's like to not have them. (To be fair I also don't know a lot of other people who don't have one or the other.) As far as specifics go, it just depends on the character.

🧓 Is there an age range your characters tend to fall into?

It depends on the character / setting, but generally between 20 and 50, or 100 and 300 if we're counting vampires.

🧠Name a few characters who are very different from each other in personality.

Johnny and Anja are polar opposites, which is great because I'm forcing them to be housemates. Johnny is a paranoid, jaded, and introverted ex-soldier vampire who's been around for a hundred years and is always several decades behind modern culture. Anja is an extroverted, energetic, and immature ex-rocker who's only been a vampire for a few years. Montey and Johnny are also opposites, with Montey being chummy, reckless, and confident (at least on the surface), although they are about the same age and can relate a lot there.

🔺does your oc know how to use any weapons?

He knows how to defend himself in melee and he knows how to use handguns. Unfortunately the last time he tried to use anything bigger than a shotgun, he blasted himself backwards and left a hole in the ceiling.

💜what is your oc's ancestry/genetic background?

Cormac is white, probably a mixture of English, Scottish, and Scandinavian ancestry. His full name, Cormac Gallagher, comes from a used bible he found after running away from home when he was younger.

😞does your oc attract others, or do they tend to be left alone?

Damn that's a good question. He kind of sticks out in a crowd, but I'm not sure if anyone would bother him unless they're concerned about him, or alternatively if they think he's gullible enough to be conned.

11. What was your inspiration for your OC?

At some point I wanted one of my other vampire characters, Montey, to have a vampire friend his age who was also a war vet. Originally he was going to have served in the Napoleonic Wars or Vietnam, but then I developed a strong interest in the First World War and worked on his lore from there. IIRC I finally decided on a look for him after the trailer for A Quiet Place Part II dropped. (Johnny's hair is shorter, but he has the same grizzled and distraught vibes.)

13. Does your OC have a rival? How did it start?

Local hunters, who caught wind of him when he inevitably drew attention to himself. The only (friendly) rivals I can think of are the few people he gambles or plays pool with.

19. What's their sexuality? What's their love language both giving and receiving?

Johnny is gay!

He takes gifts with a mix of suspicion and confusion. If the gift is from someone he's close to, he gets flustered.

You can tell he's comfortable with you when he goes from borderline mute to normal human conversation. His favorite gifts to give are vinyl records and some of the miscellaneous novelties that pop up in his store.

For Montey, because I don't get to talk about him a lot.

11. What was your inspiration for your OC?

I really wanted a vampire gangster character with a 50s vibe. It's been awhile since I made him but I think the original inspos for him were Grease and Pulp Fiction. 🤣

13. Does your OC have a rival? How did it start?

I honestly have no idea just yet, but I would assume so since he was with the vampire mafia.

19. What's their sexuality? What's their love language both giving and receiving?

Montey is also gay!

Being a big ol' softie, he loves giving and receiving gifts. He loves midnight movie dates and taking his buddies on joy rides through dirt roads and forgotten fields.
