Whenever Inej visits the slat, she would tell Kaz about all the adventures she had at the sea and the slave trader she arrested. She would tell him about the small children they were rescuing, and their huge innocent eyes.

Kaz would usually watch her with those heart eyes of his when she is telling about how that time when a small girl she recused met her parents, how it nearly broke her heart that there are so many such children who would give anything to meet their parents one last time, and how she would love to help them in doing so.

the romantic vibes wont last for long, because Inej would eventually catch Kaz looking at her as if she hung the moon, and raise an eyebrow at him, which would then turn into a banter between those two.

Now, we cant believe that Inej, a really feared pirate, the ruler of the sea, would tolerate Kaz's shit anymore. Not that she did it before either, but girl's got some dazzle added to her crown now.

"Inej, meet me at the diner near the docks tonight"

" what buisness at a restaurent ?"

"Nah, we'll just have dinner"

" it's Captain Inej, for one. And because you weren't much polite, I need a handwritten letter with atleast three 'please Inej' in it and heart will do too.

on one of her visits, she told Kaz that she didnt caught nearly enought slave traders, he got suspicious, but Inej asked him to not interfere.

Inej told Kaz that she, on all her own found out who among her crew was trading information to the traders, and punished him well enought, Kaz looked so proud !! He was literally in awe of her.

When Inej would find out that there was a lot of work for Kaz at the slat, she would take him on a ride aboard the wraith.

just them, sitting near the edge, legs dangling, hands touching and watching the sunset.

Kaz would pay frequent visits to Inej's parents and put on the best of his charms. And whenever he would lie to cover up about his 'gang leader' side, Inej would give him a raised eyebrow and a shit eating smile that said 'oh look, who's trying to impress ma bapa'

whenever Kaz would smell the sea breeze from his window, he would think of Inej and patiently wait for her next visit.

the crows are not used to this lovesick side of his, but who's complaining.
