Iris Blackthorn

Iris Blackthorn is the main character of Morrowmere. She is a very recently out of the closet trans woman. She has horrible posture, and is diagnosed with depression and anxiety. She starts the story in our world, before being dragged into Morrowmere. Once in Morrowmere she gets the lower half of a snake and magic and stuff. The new body isn’t perfect (she still has dysphoria because she’s smaller than afab snake people because male snakes are smaller for example) but it’s a step closer towards her having a body she’s happy in.

Maybe it’s just a me thing, since I have like 4 different oc universes, but I have one and it’s just. It’s my comfort story. I love the characters and they mean a lot to me but their just. Kids. Being kids. Teens in love trying to start a band. That’s it. Yes, only one of them is human. But that’s not the focus. There is no life or death. There is not awkward love triangle. It’s just teens being teens. And I love it. When I get stressed I don’t want to write about people fighting for their lives, for their rights. Because that’s real and raw and it’s happening all around me all the time and I have no escape. I just want people being good and wholesome and soft. So yeah, if I ever publish a book it’s gonna be a wholesome slice of life for the most part. But sometimes that’s just what you need.
