I love the way this is kinda a dialogue, but kinda a monologue said by two people. They are not really having a conversation, it's more like two people's inner thoughts and worries about their relationship going along the same lines without them knowing. I think just reading the lyrics, it could be read as one person's thoughts, but with it being sung by two people it really creates an extra dimension.
