Iris Theatre looking out for the little guys 😊 (Taken from their stories on 04/02/2021). Yay for no defined age bracket!
Found this on my phone. Apparently, when I posted that Iris Theatre interview the other day, I saved one question and underlined the most important parts. It more or less is an upper/middle class only profession. Bear in mind this interview is from around 2011. I'm glad someone in the industry has pointed it out.
Thinking a while back to an immersive production of Hamlet I attended. Excellently done with a way of modernising it.
What I loved was how because the person that played Hamlet was they/she, the character of Hamlet was trans.
It played out as their parents misgendering them and such.
I don't really have the ability to do a proper analysis of this, but it worked very well I think.
If anyone's seen the Iris Theatre immersive production of Hamlet, please feel free to analyse it.
