Lois & Iris Friendship DCEU

Okay this is a friendship I really need. Both women are dating superheros and both women have the same profession. Since Lois is older than Iris and Lois had been in the journalism field longer Lois could act as a mentor to Iris West and show her the ropes of journalism. Then imagine those two collaborating on news articles together. Iris could serve as a link between the Justice League and Civilans or the Flash and Civilans and since Lois’s dad and sister work in the Army she could serve as a link between the Justice League the army and the Civilans. Two beautiful women working side by side and they take self defense and learn some fight moves. Also I am guessing Lois would know how to shoot a gun since she grew up around them, and her dad and sister are in the army. Honestly I want to see the love interests to the heros become friends.

I'm almost afraid to ask for your headcanons about anything because it'll probably make me cry. BUT OKAY. AU where Iris West meets Lois Lane and they fall in love.

I could have done really dark post-BvS headcanons but I gave you fluff instead because I’m a nice person. You’re welcome. 

They meet at a function for women journalists being held in Gotham City and bond unexpectedly over the fact that they’re most famous for writing about their respective cities’ superheroes, Superman and The Flash - and how annoying it is to just be seen as a silly reporter with a crush rather than a serious journalist.

On their first date, Lois gets nervous enough that she spills coffee all over Iris’s laptop and insists on paying for it to be repaired. When it turns out that the thing is fried (scalding hot coffee will do that), she buys her a brand-new Mac out of her Daily Planet salary. A reporter’s gotta have all the best equipment if she wants to succeed, after all. And she feels terrible about ruining a fellow journalist’s tools. (She also feels terrible about making such a sucky impression on said ridiculously pretty fellow journalist.)

They get…competitive over their articles. “I’ll bet you that my boss can agree to publish my story on gang violence before yours prints your expose of on the sweatshop operating out of the outskirts of Metropolis.” “Oh really?” “Yeah, really.” “You’re on. The loser pays for dinner this Friday.”

Barry and Clark will often try and find ways of spying on their writing to “see if they’re being portrayed correctly”. They’re very vain like that.

The girls laugh about it over generous amounts of wine on stay-at-home date nights.
