Rose Gin and Tonic
Before making my own Rose Syrup a few weeks back, I didn’t realise I liked rose syrup so much! But I do, and it’s not only because I made it with the roses blooming in our garden. It has this delicate, elegant flavour to it. It works wonders in cocktails such as The Villanelle and Pink Rosé Daiquiri, but this refreshing Rose Gin and Tonic allows it to shine on its delectable own! Happy Friday!
Ingredients (serves 1):
4 ice cubes
1 thin slice of lemon
1 1/2 tablespoon Rose Syrup
30 mililitres/1 fluid ounce (2 tablespoons) god quality chilled gin
chilled tonic water (like Schweppes)
Place ice cubes in a glass. Add lemon slice, and pour in Rose Syrup and chilled gin. Top with tonic water, give a gentle stir.
Enjoy Rose Gin and Tonic immediately!
