I really hate to disappoint all of you, but I'm still not casting on the Knitting for Olive yarn that I purchased back in August. I realized that I didn't order enough yarn for the sweater and will have to order more. I'm going to order these extra balls from my local yarn shop. Still, because of their ordering system, it can take up to four weeks to arrive. Because of that, I'm going to get started on something else and eagerly await the arrival of my silk mohair.
I've cast on the Minimalist Cable Cardigan with Caron Simply Soft in the color Ocean. (You can see my Ravelry notes here.) This is actually a stash-buster project. I purchased this yarn years ago to make a project that I can no longer remember. I have just enough to make this cardigan, and I'm going for it!
And of course, here's an update on my current sock. It's a rainbow variegated yarn from Rising Tide Fiber Co. This is also the same company I used to make my socks for my LLS fundraiser over the summer. I cannot for the life of me find this colorway, but they have a lot of really great colors available on their website. You should check them out!
The sock is a simple top-down pattern in an Irish Moss stitch. I have quite a few rainbow garments that I was looking to pair these socks with. I chose an easy, textured pattern to showcase the yarn while also being able to match it with everything I pair it with.
