                                 She saw it.                                  Out of the corner of her eye, she saw it.

             --The quickly retreating form of someone with perfectly blonde hair. Oh, no, that would not do. Esmée grabbed her mask, quickly tying it back around the abomination she called her face. Once someone saw her face, they could not live. She could not allow it. She took off after the retreating form, and it did not take her long to catch up. Her long legs, muscle, and unfailing knowledge of the catacombs did not make it a fair chase. She grabbed the blonde -- a girl she now recognized from the company -- by the arm and slammed her against the wall, holding her in place.

            " What are you doing down here--?! " Esmée snapped, " --Did you see it?! Did you see my face--?! "
