To Release Your Hold on a House

Over a year ago I did my To Make a House a Home ritual. This is a little something in the reverse.

Very simple: candle with cayenne paper (to banish/expell) on top, sticks from my garden that I move from an enclosed square to an open cross while I mediate on saying goodbye.

Welcome to so many new people following this blog! I hope I get to chat to most of you at some point. I have some messages I have responded to yet but I do always read and appreciate them. . My notes are so weird right now. They're full of people not getting my Samhain post and weirder still crystal blogs following me after I think I made it pretty clear I don't give a crap about crystals. Some really transphobic people followed me too which is gross This post probably seems really petty but I'm super confused as too how people could misunderstand my content this much. To sum up: ---Samhain is November now Halloween there is no such festival as Samhain. ---Crystals are nice rocks I guess ---Transwomen are women are worthy of respect and protection Thank you.

How I use colours

Black: stability, self, complete

Grey: protection, shield, invisibility

Green: vitality, life, adventure

Blue: joy, thoughtfulness, mindfulness, freedom

Purple: warmth, passion,

Make a House a Home

So just a little something for settling in at a new place. (I like to bury this in biodegradable/compostable bags rather than jars)

The key to somewhere I had loved and called home

The cork from the prosecco we opened to celebrate our first night

A feather a magpie left me while I was without a home

Apoliticism and Spirituality

In many ways this isn’t a problem limited to the polytheistic/pagan communities but it is one I’ve noticed here in particular. People seem to go out of their way to stress how apolitical their religious/cultural organisations are when frankly that can’t be true.

Is your faith earth/nature based? - Great then you care environmental policy

Is your faith/practise community based? - Then it’s influenced by the infrastructure provided to your community

Is your practise cultural or heritage based? Then the preservation of your history and national identity is a prerequisite.

Does your faith believe in equality of genders and races? That too is a political opinion.

Political, like belief, is not a dirty word.
