Metz and Cordy are so cool!
I had a blast drawing them <3
Seriously read their lore it’s really compelling:
An art gifting game
Zim is a cryptid for young Irkens lmao they get together and tell half fake scary stories about him to scare each other
What if the Irken Tallest have an advisor?
It can be assumed that any Irken who isn’t Tallest, serves the Tallest. But what about the Irkens who are tasked with dealing with Irks interior politics at the Tallests’ behest? The noble, Taller Irkens, who squabble in their rosy cage, spread rumors, ask for more expensive snacks; I don’t imagine that the Tallest even want to deal with their most entitled Irken subjects. I don’t even imagine that the tallest themselves watch the news, or pay close attention to their off world Invaders. The Tallest require a secondary power, a type of manager or perhaps a vizier, to notify them of dissenters, wartime news, to deal with the public in their stead. OBVIOUSLY this is all brain drool and headcanons but, this guy whispered in the Tallest’s ear(? antennae?) in “Battle of the Planets” and I can’t stop thinking about it.
I BELIEVE! That this position should be known as “The Imperial Claw”or “Claw” for short, referencing how the tallest’ of Irk sever their thumbs as part of the ritual to power. They lose a claw, they gain a claw, to pick up the slack on whatever mental/social tasks, that they cannot be assed with as the rulers of a sprawling network. The main purpose of a Claw can change based on the needs of the ruling power. Though I imagine under the reign of Tallest’ Red and Purple, this bitch is overworked as fuck
Irken PAK
Naturally have sort of mini control brain attached to their hardware commonly referred to as Moderaters, or Directors
Defective irkens do not have them
Irken eyes colors
Various shades of reds, pinks and to a lesser extent, purples are the norm. While greens, blues and yellows/browns are much more rare.
Author notes.
-A nightsky/galaxy as the base. More stars can be added to make them shimmer/stand out more. Ombré with darker colors up top. -Eyelights can act in place of an actual pupil. A soft blur to edges if you wish for a less harsh look.
-Glow in the dark or with extreme emotion. Choose one base color(lightest or brightest color from the eye), outline the eye on another layer and blur it’s edges. (The softer the edges the better the glow will look). Set opacity to 50% or to desired look.
Sel the navigator
Dil the scientist
Phil the pilot
Bill the guard
And
Eef the elite and captain
They all had been in many many missions, but only one broke them.
Their last mission together ended up with only one survivor.
He lost everything in the cold, therefore he shall set the whole world ablaze
OK HERE WE GO
Since fools wanna reblog my post that was explicitly NOT in the ship tag, cause let’s be real since when did shippers care about common decency, I decided to make my little reply it’s own post. Please if you’re an IZ blog that does not post/reblog za//dr then reblog this so word can get around. I honest to god have no idea where the idea of zim being a child ever came from.
I remember watching the trailers on nick for the new show about a green alien and getting excited. I remember when youtube first launched and ppl made cringey bad-quality iz fanvids. And I remember when Dib and Zim got shipped together. I was a child myself and was really into the ship, and even back then we all knew Zim was not a child. I literally never encountered that rumor until I recently got back into the fandom and it’s blown my mind. So here’s some pics I used in my response to that moronic, unwelcome reply.
This is a little pic I took of the script from the unfinished episode The Trial. I have scripts, boards, and VA lines from several unaired episodes because yes, I was THAT obsessed with this show. Here Zim clearly states that he’s at least TEN YEARS OLD at this point in his story. As in, already before his official invader training began he was around Dib’s age.
It’s long-established Irken lore that Irkens are trained underground in the planet Irk for many years until finally seeing the surface. Heck I’m pretty sure in the Tak episode she talks about long year gaps that would definitely make her and Zim adults.
And here we have one of the first issues of the official Zim comic, this issue was written by the creator and one of the tv show’s writers, so it’s as canon as canon can get. Tak’s AI states VERY CLEARLY that Zim has has “untold decades” of training. That would literally put him way older than Dib, even if it meant the guy was 20 yrs old that’s still too old for a tween yall.
There is of course more evidence in the show and comic but I’d hope that actual IZ fans would already watch/read those and, yknow, hear/read the proof for themselves, but maybe that’s hoping for too much when it comes to assholes who go into the anti tag to purposely start petty fights and make nonsense arguments.
So once again, please spread this one around if you can so idiots might actually see it, cause all the fools who responded to my post either ignored me, insulted me, or worse so I’m not bothering with them anymore.
Oh and if it aint clear enough for some of you? DNI if you’re a za//dr shipper
