25 Years of DOOM!
I got a little emotional drawing this. It’s crazy that I watched this show premiere when I was 7 years old, and I still vividly remember sitting on the floor with my Kid Cuisine TV dinner. My life really did change forever because I’ve met some literal LIFELONG best friends through this series, I have my characters I love so much, and I have all of the amazing memories I’ve had over the years. I’ve been in the IZ fandom for nearly 20 years, and still keep coming back.
Genuinely I tire of the “Zim is the most evil irken” narrative so much.
Like Tak is a failure, a defective Irken just like him whether she wants to blame him for the whole vending machine incident or not.
Skoodge is a successful invader which is kind of worse. He’s responsible for multiple genocides.
The tallests are shown to be incompetent in multiple areas and only seem to be propped up by the support staff around them when it comes to running things. Maybe not all the time but enough that they flew a ship directly through a florpus hole, which is funny because they will no doubt blame Zim for it later. (Idc what ppl say, they ain’t dead)
The Irken society as a whole does not have “good” irkens. Everyone is both a victim and a perpetrator.
The idea that Zim is extra bad because he’s not good at following orders and doesn’t seem to care about the consequences of his actions in relation to others is laughable. Any one of those other irkens would likely feel the same way (outside of the denial part of Zim’s psyche.) empathy is not something that is instilled or nurtured in irkens.
Does not mean they are incapable of it, but it does mean it’s something most of them would have to be taught or teach themselves.
wait wait i need to know how the swarm feels about this
If Irkens was bugs what kind of bugs would they be
ant
wasp
beetle
mantis
spider (not bug at all)
a secret sixth thing
Skoodge and Dib have been detained. The last time this happened, Dib caused a lot of havoc, so they're not taking any chances. Zim will have a hard time on his rescue mission!
