Three New Chapters of The Rod That Blocks The Lightning

Iron Crow and Laser Weapons
I'm just straight up going to be out here making up the schematics and blueprints of the Iron Crow planes for this chapter, so I can extrapolate later, huh?
I know nothing about planes, but here I am reading manuals and blueprints since these planes will probably feature heavily throughout The Rod That Blocks the Lightning. After all, a good portion of the plot of S2 was Geumseagi trying to find out what they were, and how they could be used against Flower Hill.
Especially since laser based weapons are apparently in development already? Like the HELIOS 60-plus-K-Class laser used by the USS Preble, used to blind optics and supposedly can destroy small targets.
I think it is a similar version of the AN/SEQ-3 Laser Weapon System or XN-1 LaWS already in use by the US Navy to take down small targets.
(USS Ponce). Tumblr won't let me upload the video I have of it in action.
So, obviously, I now have to research these far more in depth, in order to figure out how the Iron Crows can take out entire tank units like they do.
Actually, the beam is comparable to what we have now, it just seems to have a wider effect. I could see the Wolf Unit coming up with something like this, since they are supposed to be based on the US from what I understand, and these types of lasers have been researched since the 1930s. So why does Dr. Huinjogjebi have this type of technology in S1, if not for espionage and such? There must be a reason why the Wolf Unit hates the Weasel Unit.
The shape of the lasers is comparable to real life. I can see how the weight is distributed for the most part, so the shape of the plane should be sound.
Although, they mostly seem to need something much more larger, like one of those large Navy Boats, to provide a stable base and energy support. The ships they are attached to don't seem to be using nuclear energy or anything like that. In fact, it appears to be good for ground attacks and boats anyway, since it can burn through aircraft wiring surprisingly easily.
Anyway, things to get you on an FBI watch-list part 8.
The Iron Crow.
Emmerikas: 17, 18, 19. Iron Crow: 22, 29, 37. Raffony: 2, 7, 8. Thomas/Priya: 4, 20, 33. ALSO FOR FUNSIES Nathaniel and Lourdes: 35, 8, 4.
Iron Crow:#22 - It depends. If it's pack business, I think they're both on the same page most of the time. If it's Koda's firefighting, I don't think it interferes with their relationship /too/ significantly -- mostly Malia just worries a lot. Her obsession with tracking/fighting wendigo definitely causes tension, though.#29 - When it comes to each other, Koda and Malia are pretty overprotective. She keeps a close eye on him during fights.. definitely isn't at all subtle about it. And if he were sick or injured, she'd be by his side in an instant -- even if it's just a cold, she's adamant that he doesn't lift a finger and lets her take care of him. (Which includes lots of little playful arguments when she tries to take his temperature every hour and Koda kindly reminds her that they are wolves and they always have a fever.)#37 - Malia would sacrifice everything and more for Koda, and I think it's somewhat mutual. She's willing to sacrifice whatever happiness she's got left if it means Koda can be with imprint and not suffering anymore.
Raffony:#2 - They're both stubborn and determined to be the best at everything they do, therefore their team work is pretty awful. Unless it's a dire situation, and then I think they'd shape up and work together. They do not share well at a l l. Especially when it comes to food. (Touch her food and die, Raff.)#7 - Probably each other's stubbornness and unwillingness to ever be wrong about anything. Although, I don't think that's something they'd necessarily change about each other. It keeps things fun and interesting and I think they find that type of conflict exciting.#8 - I think for Bryony, her favorite thing about Raff is his resilience.. and his ability to make absolutely anyone laugh, even if it is through being a jerk and making dumb offensive jokes. And how much he loves his brother (and mom, despite all their issues), family is really important to her so she appreciates that he really values his as well.
Thomas + Priya: #4 - The first time they meet is when Bay is pretty much deathly ill and Priya is desperate for someone to help him -- so when Thomas steps up and translates for her and makes sure Bay gets seen, he pretty much guarantees himself a spot in his heart for the rest of her life. Over time, the more he visits and gets closer to her and Bay, Priya definitely starts to fall for him. It's a silent type of love, though I don't think she makes any attempt to hide it, either.#20 - HMM. Priya's house back in Vietnam was probably just one room with a tiny little bathroom, and she comes to America with pretty much not a single thing to her name, so when/if her and Thomas do get a place together, I think she's really really excited to decorate it with little things, like framed photos, little doodles Bay does tacked up on the fridge, etc. Bay's nursery is definitely her favorite part, though -- especially since he probably slept with her in her little bed and didn't have his own space in Vietnam, so she's really proud to be able to give him something nicer. Their living room is definitely always filled with toys at any given moment, though.. and Bay always cleans it right up when he's done, because he's a sweet lil boy who likes to hear his parents clap and snuggle him when he puts his toys away all on his own.#33 - Priya's never been given a present before, at least not since she was small, so she'd be pretty content with anything at all. She also has never had anyone to /give/ presents to, except for Bay, so it always takes her a little while to figure out what to get Thomas on special occasions. She does like to surprise him with little things just because, but not exactly in the form of presents. More like.. special dinners with his favorite foods, surprise date nights when she spontaneously decides to leave Bay with Thomas' mom, things like that!
Nathaniel + Lourdes:#4 - I wouldn't say love at first sight, but there's definitely an attraction there. Nathaniel is definitely interested in her the first time he meets Lourdes, but then they actually speak and it's clear they're going to butt heads constantly just from that first meeting. She keeps him on his toes, that's for sure. #8 - Nathaniel likes Lourdes' drive, I think.. and her commitment to her career. He has a lot of respect for how hard she works and how seriously she takes what she does. Eventually, his favorite thing is how passionate she is about her patients and her work, something that he doesn't expect at first.#35 - A little of both, I think? They're both competitive in different ways, and they're definitely blunt and brutally honest and in Nathaniel's case, argumentative. But mostly they end up being fairly good for each other -- they make each other work harder, they motivate one another, but above that, they understand that work comes first in each other's lives. That, and the fact that while they're very dedicated to their jobs, they're both still pretty dang lonely, makes for a good match.
Ramesses | Iron Crow | Take The Curse
domesticity meme // 01. iron crow
big spoon/little spoon: Tbh I can see them switching off a lot?? Like, Malia has no problem being the big spoon except SHE IS SO TINY in comparison to Koda that it doesn't really work out all that well... BUT SHE STILL TRIES. And it's probably hilarious.
favorite non-sexual activity: I think just cooking together is really fun for Malia, even when Koda gets impatient and eats half of dinner before it's even fully finished. She loves dragging him grocery shopping with her and stocking up her lil house with all his favorite things, even if he doesn't officially live there. AND TBH they probably roughhouse a lot??? They're wolves, okay shh
who uses all the hot water: I feel like Koda might, just because being a firefighter he must come home pretty dirty with soot and ash, etc, on some nights. But they both probably take forever getting clean because they're messy lil wolves. (Plus they just really like taking bubble baths like dweebs.)
most trivial thing they fight over: Food. It's always food. They're hungry about 85% of the time, and food is a serious matter to them, lbr.
who does most of the cleaning: Malia. No matter how hard she tries to fight her OCD tendencies, she really can't, and if things aren't where they should be, she gets sick to her stomach and starts to panic. If the pillow is positioned even an inch wrong on the bed, she'll stand there for half an hour just trying to get it back into the right place. IN SHORT: KODA PICK UP YOUR DAMN UNIFORM OR MALIA WILL PROBABLY END UP EXTREMELY LATE FOR WORK BECAUSE SHE'S GOTTA FOLD IT AND REFOLD IT AND PUT IT AWAY ABOUT A DOZEN TIMES before it starts to /feel/ right and she can leave it alone.
what has a season pass on their dvr/who controls the netflix queue: Malia doesn't even have a TV for the first while, until Koda officially moves in and they decide to get one. I think they're both too busy for TV but when she discovers Netflix she definitely gets obsessed.. especially with Food Network shows. And anything from Animal Planet.
who calls up the super/landlord when the heat’s not working: Hmm, Malia's house was passed down to her from her mother, so she doesn't have a landlord. ALSO they don't even need heat, man. They're essentially heaters themselves, if you think about it! Being wolves and all~
who steals the blankets: Malia doesn't care how hot she gets, she almost always needs a blanket in order to fall asleep. It's easier with Koda is around, though, cos then they just get all tangled up together and their body heat feeds off each other and it's way too hot to use a blanket. So.. ??? PROBABLY MALIA I GUESS but really I doubt they'd use blankets often.
who leaves their stuff around: I'm gonna say Koda, only because Malia is way too anal about cleaning and keeping things in their rightful place to leave anything around.
who remembers to buy the milk: Eh.. Malia, maybe? Koda has about a thousand things running through his mind at any given moment (especially once he's imprinted) so I'm pretty sure those tiny little things tend to slip through the cracks.
who remembers anniversaries: HOPEFULLY THEM BOTH or someone is in trouble hmmm
who cooks normally?: Malia! Cooking keeps her hands busy so she doesn't get caught up in obsessively washing them, organizing things over and over, etc.
how often do they fight?: I think the thing they'd fight about the most is just stuff regarding the pack, really. Like Levi, at first -- Malia thinking he's a deserter, betrayed them all, etc, and doesn't want to allow him back. Then they probably fight about her being a little too obsessed with catching the wendigo that killed Ethan. I don't see them ever fighting over imprint things, though-- mostly they're just sad and kind of resigned to it.
what do they do when they’re away from each other?: I don't know about Koda, but really Malia doesn't know what to do with herself when Koda isn't around. She's still reeling from Ethan's death and being alone is really difficult for her, especially when the nightmares of Koda being murdered in the same manner as Ethan begin -- then she just really wants him around as much as possible. Otherwise, she just focuses on tracking wendigo and I'd assume he does much of the same!
nicknames for each other?: Hmm.. I don't know that they really have any special nicknames, other than Mal and Koda.
who is more likely to pay for dinner?: They'd probably both fight over it like dweebs, or they'd just both pitch in.
what would they get each other for gifts?: OH MAN I'm not sure, hmm.. Malia would probably buy Koda video games (mostly because she wants to play them.. and kick his ass), and probably some kind of back massage chair~ because being an alpha wolf and a firefighter simultaneously CANT BE GOOD FOR YO' MUSCLES, AMIRITE. Not sure what he'd get her though OOPS
who kissed who first?: Koda kissed Malia first -- it was on one of Malia's particularly rougher nights and it happened on impulse during his attempt to comfort her. Malia wasn't all that surprised, as it was already pretty obvious how they felt about each other.
who made the first move?: I ALREADY SAID KODA MAN but hmm, after the kiss things were a little tense and strange for a while before Malia finally just couldn't hold back anymore and told him she was /glad/ he kissed her, and things just sort of grow from there.
who remembers things?: This is worded so confusingly omg? I.. they both remember things? They have brains u know
who started the relationship?: I don't think they ever really had that 'label' conversation, or discussed being in a relationship, per say. I mean, they're pretty secretive about it all.
who cusses more?: Tbh I'd imagine they both have quite the potty mouth.
what would they do if the other one was hurt?: MALIA WOULD LOSE IT. Her worst fear is losing Koda the same way she lost Ethan. It's hard for them to control their fear and anger when the other is hurt and they're around the pack, otherwise the others would get suspicious. But really they're just completely losing it internally.
