i was looking at my wip folder this morning and laughing because wow i have... a lot of events coming up, but i think it's all going alright so far, like:

swbb: finished

obikinbb: 50-60% finished

codywan week: 2/7 first drafts done

....everything ELSE is still completely up in the air, BUT it's a nice amount of progress

Lol. I only have a few. 

Horatio, of course, is my writing buddy. I keep him on top of my writing desk. He’s got a fake candle in his skull, so his eyes glow at night, too. He’s pretty cool. 

And then I have the two Edgars. Edgar the First and Edgar the Second. They’re full-size skeletons for Halloween though I may or may not keep mine out until Christmas and just stick him in a Santa hat so he’s festive. He might also get a pair of fuzzy handcuffs for Valentines day. And I might stick him in bunny ears for Easter. Okay, so he’s a Holiday skeleton rather than a Halloween skeleton. 

Edgar the First ruled my porch for many a year…until I accidentally broke him in half. Yes, THIS story is semi-biographical. I still have him, though. I mean? Half a skeleton is almost better than a full skeleton come Halloween—just stick his spine in the ground and now bam, looks like the dead are rising up out of their graves. It’s great.

I’ve also got a couple little guys around that I jokingly named Muffin and Fluffy to mess with my roommate when I was in college. I haven’t really had the heart to put them away. 

Honestly, I’ve had a skeleton motif going for me long before Undertale. I was definitely the kid in high school wearing skull earrings. I never quite went full goth, but black was definitely a mainstay of my wardrobe. Nowadays, I tend to dress a bit more conservatively, but the inside of my house looks like Halloween 24/7. 

I love the spooky stuff, you guys. It’s my jam.

so the whole "npc" thing. we call em splicers, after their whole shtick being that they've "spliced" their DNA

see, before the whole breakdown of Rapture, there were two companies - Ryan Industries, Fontaine Futuristics - that made these things called Plasmids, basically DIY genetic enhancement kits made from a substance called ADAM.

for some reason, ADAM grew from sea slugs which could only produce it when embedded into little girls - boys were supposedly *catastrophically* bad

so that all happened. but, unbeknownst to everyone, Fontaine himself "died" and became "Atlas", a revolutionary who stoked an uprising against Ryan. he sparked a giant civil war, which made everyone (on both sides) rush to buy up Plasmids, causing one hell of an economic crisis and shutting down a lot of businesses

point is, the guys that used Plasmids? they spliced themselves so hard they went ballistic and got desperate for more ADAM and Plasmids, attempting to go kill Little Sisters and...well anyone. Including *you.*

and this is only the start of things to come - we still have Ryan successfully brainwashing everyone to follow him, the whole shitshow with your protag, and that damned preacher lady
