Ironjump is not afraid of anything. Not humans, not the other cities, not anyone's opinion, not even the gods (although he's smart enough not to say something like that aloud). He's a good healer and he knows it. He also mates with Hawthornship, a seafarer from Goat's Head. This isn't illegal, although some are disappointed that Ironjump won't sire any kits from this union; he would surely produce intelligent and brave soldiers for Snake's Head.

Where Hawkeye is a surgeon and Oliveflight is a diagnostician, Ironjump is more like an emergency responder, best skilled at treating wounds in tough spots. He knows his skills could be used on a journey, if only he got the chance to go…
