Eustace - the Heir
Is Em part of the detective business at all? Or do they just live your basement? How did you guys adopt meet Em?
⚕️ - It's quite a riveting story in my opinion.
🔍 - Well, go on, you're the blogger.
⚕️ - Right, shortly after the case of the Great Game, Moriarty had escaped and we returned to baker Street quite shaken up. With the recent explosion, repairs were underway already and we settled down for the night. It was a quiet few weeks, as my blog had nothing new other than the cryptic messages we'd been releasing for Moriarty's game.
At about 4 thirty in the morning, we heard a knock at the door, and when we answered it, a young man greeted us. He said he was looking for work and had been a part of Sherlock's network, until now, when he'd managed to get back on his feet and scrounged enough to rent the flat downstairs. But in reality...
🔍 - In reality, Jim had sent me to keep tabs on them. And looking back on it, I believe he intended for me to die. He didn't have a reason to watch them, he did it to prove a point.
🎻 - Power play. He wanted to show just how easily he could turn on one of his own.
🔍 - He was counting on Sherlock killing me.
🎻 - Putting you in danger, at the very least, yes.
🔍 - I'm not a stranger to it. It didn't work very well.
⚕️ - Thankfully. But after a messy reveal, the betrayal of Jim's loyalty, and some talking, we sorted it out. Em's been a part of the business ever since, though we keep private about it. You know, security reasons.
🔍 - Those we're up against can only plan for cards they can see, having an ace up one's sleeve is most intelligent.
⚕️ - And we're grateful for it. The more people on a case the better, in my experience. Many hands make light work.
🎻 - I for one am relieved to have someone downstairs. I've always wanted to heckled from the window while I compose.
🔍- Shove ooooff *He is laughing* I just tell the truth! You need music theory, not just notes.
🎻 - *He hid his smile behind his cup of coffee* Yes well, remind me to listen extra carefully next time you come over to play twinkle twinkle little star.
