like i rly thought the society was just gonna be netflix’s answer to riverdale and like on a lot of levels it is ? but it’s so much better than that ? like i have a Lot of thoughts that should b collected but idk it just felt ? smart ? like it respected women ? it had two whole gay characters in it ? deaf rep ? let teenagers say fuck ? decent writing tbh ? like somehow despite the crazy premise felt .... real yk ? like the people who wrote this show know what kinda bullshit teenage boys are on and aren’t afraid to say it ? takes on actual political issues but not in a cheap pastiche ‘look we’re woke we hate trump #girlpower’ way like supergirl ?
