Can you show off your Star Wars ocs again? They're very cool and I'd love to know more about them!
YES OMG!! i still only have these old sketches but im more than glad to rehash all i have on them :D
the top three are Val (togruta), Cui (nautolan), and Irzun (ex nightsister of dathomir), all graduated padawans of Cereyn Saerai (Mirialan, bottom). fun fact, Cereyn's design, especially her face tattoos, are somewhat styled after Palestinian clothing and tattoos if only in spirit. I also drew her to look like me lol. Cui is based off a koi fish, and i wanted Irzun to look almost like sunbleached bone and fabric. her facial markings are somewhat based off a skull.
[copied from twt] "Cereyn is very no-nonsense and stubborn, but she is a warm and motherly figure to her Padawans. She is largely experienced in Jedi teachings and combat, integrating a very grey-Jedi mindset into her teachings, valuing compassion, kindness, and independence above all. She's not seen in the best light by the Jedi who are more of sticklers for the rules, especially for her unorthodox brash manner, however she is far from letting her emotions control her. She is firmly of the belief that a Jedi must be in touch with emotion to truly serve well." Basically, she kind of understands that the emotional constipation taught by the jedi ultimately serves nothing but destruction [lol].
Cui has been around for a while, both as a character and in-universe, being trained alongside Val when they were younglings, but Irzun is a new addition. An ex-nightsister of Dathomir that escaped when she was young, she was taken in by Val and Cui's master, Cereyn. It's pretty much unheard of that a Jedi have multiple padawans, so Cereyn trained all three of them away from the Jedi temple until they were old enough to be recognized as padawans and they were brought to the temple on Coruscant. Cereyn used her position as an experienced general as leverage to keep and train all three.
Cui's robes are a little outdated (i would love to redo them but dont have my tablet on me) but they're ostentatious on purpose. Irzun's clothing is all cool neutrals because she prefers to be overlooked and observe. Val's clothing of royal purples and blues is probably my favorite. i'll probably add some motifs alluding to egyptian royalty bc i partly based her lekku/montral patterns off of pharaoh crowns when i first made her.
I don't really have a story for them all but gawd do i love them. thank u sm for sending this ask i really havent thought of them in so long but it made me so happy to go over all their stuff again!!
