Is the main character in Thronebreaker a female Witcher?

No, actually the character you play as is Queen Meve, of Lyria and Rivia. She’s coming back from a battle, leading a regiment of men, after having left the kingdoms in her son Villem’s care. Then the unthinkable happens.

She’s stubborn and proud, and also determined and adaptable. Meve has become one of my favorite characters of Witcher lore. She’s so intelligently written that I wish we’d get another game like this one. But I get it.

She goes through so much that would break a lesser person and you’re right there with her. It’s a great story.
