You know, a lot of stuff in life is just like fishing. you bring all the required materials, maybe a few extra, and you wait. you wait and wait and wait for something, anything, a sign, a small splash in the water, anything. And you get something. You get something, you pull, pull, and pull with all  your might. But then it doesn’t work out. The fish swam away. you used up all your time, and it still didn’t work. You sit down and you try again, sighing.

But then you actually get it. You got the fish. and you realize, as you pose next to it while a loved one takes a picture, that it’s all been worth it. all your hardships and waiting and sweat and tears and metaphorical blood was used correctly and successfully.

And that’s what life is about, the way i see it.
