Sooooo. I kind of want to participate in Six of Crows fandom. But I'm scarred from my previous fandom experiences. So I'm just kinda gonna... lurk... over here... for now.

1/4 YOU'RE AN AWESOME WRITER!!! I can't believe how little recognition you get from your amazing works! It's either there are only few around who read or a lot of people read but very few make effort to show appreciation through like/reblog or even a simple thank you. Seriously, the thought appalls me >_< you write very lengthy fics (I don't mean that you're amazing just because you write long fics. I'm not belittling the efforts of other writers because they do their best and give their best
2/4 effort. ALL WRITERS should get due acknowledgement from their readers) but it takes more than just dedication to come up with a very long story because this has to be well-thought of. It’s easy to simply write down words, but it’s hard to combine originally meaningless words and turn them into a force that would move a reader’s heart and soul (like what your writings do to me). You’re writing all these lengthy, deep, touching scenarios for free WHEN you’re not at all obliged to do so
¾ AND even then I can still feel that you’re putting a lot of your heart and self into whatever it is you’re writing. And they turn out beautifully and deeply moving. From the bottom of my heart I just want to say you’re a wonderful writer (not only in your skill in putting words together but also for your care to your readers). THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL OF YOUR EFFORTS!!
4/4 (I think I might have come off as *slightly* rude and I apologize I don’t mean to wage war among the readers, I just want to make a point and let you know you’re appreciated<3).
First off, to the anon who sent me the Okamura ask, I am sincerely thankful to you for giving me a chance to work with that story. I feel like you might be that anon. If not, I’m still super grateful, because this is an amazingly thoughtful message and I’m crying a little bit inside.
To address the things you’ve mentioned here, anon, firstly, yes. I won’t lie and pretend that likes and reader response isn’t important, because it is. Very much. I do write for my own interests, and to some extent other people don’t affect that, but it is a great motivator when people who genuinely like your writing say so. Response of any kind is encouraging in general. I’m not saying everyone has to like everything all the time, but I agree with anon - when you enjoy something a lot, tell the person behind it. You might be the thing that makes their day brighter.
Secondly, the length of my fics is always a bit of a contentious topic with me. I always intend to write about half the length of what I actually do, then get carried away writing silliness or background and end up with 10k words.I’m deeply envious of other writers I know who tell amazing stories in less text. I hope I’ll manage that with practice.
Anyway, what I wanted to say is, I’m glad you enjoy my work, and it makes me immensely happy to hear they resonate in some way. I wouldn’t worry about a war, all of the people I’ve talked to have been lovely so far. I honestly think I don’t deserve so much credit, but I can’t express how touched I am you think so. Have a wonderful week, anon, because you pretty much made mine.
