Speaking at the recent Blockchain Connect Conference Held in San Francisco, Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin was one of the keynote speakers. Buterin spoke about Ethereum 2.0 and answered questions from the audience.  One of the questions asked to Buterin by the audience was "Is CBC Casper being designed with any transaction throughput goals in mind," before the question could be completed, Buterin cut the question short to explain that there are a lot of misconceptions surrounding transaction data Buterin explains that there are a "lot of bad crypto projects" that try and claim faster blockchains. Vitalik Buterin cảnh báo rằng tính năng gắn thẻ vị trí mới của X gây rủi ro lớn cho quyền riêng tư, đặc biệt với cộng đồng tiền điện tử. Ông cho rằng việc tự động hiển thị quốc gia có thể dẫn đến quấy rối, đe dọa và giám sát, nhất là với nhà báo, nhà hoạt động hoặc người sống trong môi trường đàn áp.

Trong khi X khẳng định tính năng giúp kiểm chứng thông tin và hiểu bối cảnh thảo luận, Buterin nhận định kẻ xấu sẽ dễ dàng giả mạo vị trí bằng số điện thoại, IP hoặc dữ liệu mua lại, để tạo tài khoản thao túng dư luận.

Điều này khiến người dùng chân chính lộ vị trí thật, còn các mạng lưới tuyên truyền lại ẩn danh. Buterin nhấn mạnh cần những hệ thống danh tính an toàn, chống giả mạo, thay vì dựa vào các tuyên bố đơn giản dễ bị làm giả.
