some random person came onto my posts and were like: the jedi fight slavery and they couldn't fight slavery in the outer rim territories, that's outside the republic's jurisdiction uwu (which is. debatable) (and contradictory), padmè doesn't think slavery exists because the jedi were simply too good out their job (not that she was a naive 14 year old, no siree) or that slavery can be hidden in plain sight (like modern slavery), no siree
