should we start panicking about louis being in a not-relationship with his lawyer? i’m devastated about the fact that lestat seemingly stops speaking to louis over the book and instead of trying to reach out to lestat and mend the relationship louis finds himself a friends with benefits situation it feels like louis doesn’t even care how the book effects lestat

Not at all, anon! I love it as a creative choice (although admittedly, I love angst, haha), and these sorts of relationships with minor characters are written into shows to reveal things about protagonists and core dynamics, and from what Jacob said in that interview, it seems like Louis' relationship with Lemuel will be a response to his relationship with Armand, but also a point of contrast to his relationship with Lestat and the intensity of emotion Louis feels with him. I honestly can't wait for that, haha.

As for Louis not reaching out to Lestat to try and fix it, I mean, I think that makes sense for where they're both at? Jacob talked a bit in the recent podcast interview about Louis having reached this point of self-acceptance and that becoming something a little toxic this season, but also that potentially masking both his grief and his guilt about the book. He knows he's hurt Lestat, but how he reconciles with that I think is going to be a part of his arc this season, and personally I'm excited to get to see that. It's especially fun and potent to me knowing that he's been kind of trojan horsing proximity to Lestat via inviting the band to his hotel(s?), and I said it the other night, but it really is lowkey what he did with Grace, haha. Tha'ts juicy to me, haha.
