Is this a thing? Idk what this is but it's a thing. It's definitely a mafia au thing. Maybe it's a Lucanis week thing? (Though let's be real I will never top the divorce au)

This came to me in that place between sleep and waking. And it is for @sorcerousadventurer

"Did you know we were getting divorced?" Riley looked up casually from his morning paper as Lucanis prepared their usual breakfast across the kitchen. His mismatched irises met his husbands, noting with an amused smirk how the warm brown was now fleck with violet.

"I was unaware of such a thing," the Crow replied with the slightest bite of Spite's growl. It was often difficult to determine if the large Qunari was joking or being serious, especially on matters as delicate as these. "Though I am sure Viago will enjoy the legal fiasco it will cause."

Ah, returning a joke with a joke- a safe choice as he sat the saucer of café con leche down on the table with only the slightest tremble of his hand.

"I had not been informed either," chuckled Riley as he caught Lucanis wrist before he could pull away. A thumb rough from years of hard work grazed a fluttering pulse, one that only raced faster at the playful grin on the Qunari's handsome face. "But it seems the Trevisian Sun and Minrathous Morning News both think the story noteworthy. Not the first time we have made the front page, and I doubt it will be the last."
