Has it only been five days.... It felt longer.

I love my book so much because the premise of it is that what at first, considering the situation they find themself in, feels like an unalterable curse for both of them, the fact that both of them chose each other and now they can never un-choose each other, the fact that they are held together by a bond, a chain, a cord that won’t break until one of them dies, becomes by the end the one thing that saves them. “I chose you forever and ever; there will never be anyone else while you live” is said and heard with bitterness and pain and then is said and heard with hope and joy. The chain, the bond, becomes a lifeline when understood and accepted as the grace that it is. I die.
