It’s all fun and games until brain tumors

You know, I don’t know if this is the brain tumors or the whole brain radiation  therapy or the pain meds (that I’ve upped a bit myself because the GD pain doc hasn’t YET called back). But today we’re having conversations that take me a moment to follow. 

First, it was Fantastic Four. I thought he was referencing a real past conversation, because that happens. But then he called her the invisible woman, and I then I caught up. I had to explain that they’re in a movie, and it’s not real. But he continued (agreed) and still wanted to know what me and the Rock Man were working on. 

Then the conversation was about Harry Potter GoF. I think he knew that wasn’t real. But he was impressed with Harry’s quick thinking to get out of the funeral (the graveyard -- I was confused for a second because no funeral in GoF). But I think that was his parent’s idea? No matter. It was clever AF. 

Then he keeps asking after Jake, and this is new. But, we were on the patio when Jake left for school and we said goodbye/have a good day/love you, so that’s probably why Jake continues to be top of mind. 

I just put in the director’s cut of Das Boot. I’m expecting interesting conversation. I may or may not regret this decision. But, I think anything we watch is going to have some sort of element to it that he gets attached to. Someone suggested I put in Spongebob. First, I don’t have any, and second, No. Fucking. Way. I’m not about that life when we’re all healthy for heaven’s sake. Put down the crack pipe, friend.
