Sad theory: what if Lucie brings Jesse back, and he helps the merry thieves to fight the big bad of the trilogy. But in cot Lucie loses her powers and, of course, the very thing that keeps Jesse alive. So at the end he dies for real, though resting in peace since he fulfilled his goal of being a true Shadowhunter and a hero. And - this is very crackpotty but- he might have left some heirs with Lucie who will born later and continue the Blackthorn line. Ok, now ill go to bed.
