~𝐴𝑝𝑟𝑖𝑙 25𝑡ℎ 2025~

It was the 2025 nfl draft and you currently at Lambeau Field in Green Bay with your boyfriend Isaac. You see, a few days ago, Isaac had told you that he selected for the NFL Draft. For as long as you’ve known Isaac, he has always told you that he wanted to play for the NFL. It was all he would ever talk about.

“One of these days, I’m going to get play professionally,” he told you. “And when I do, I’m going to play for our home team!”

“That’s a big goal Isaac,” you replied. “But what if you don’t get selected by the lions?”

“I never thought about that, like this has been my dream.”

“Well, I’m not stopping you from dreaming babe.”

The day he told you that he was selected for the NFL Draft, you couldn’t have been more proud of him. You were at your shared apartment when he ran holding a letter for the league itself.

“Y/N, I’ve been selected, I’m going to the Draft!” He was jumping up and down in excitement waving the paper around.

“Babe, I’m so proud of you!” Setting your iPad down, you quickly gave him a hug. “Do you know when and where the draft will happen?”

“It’s supposed to happen in April from the 23rd-25th in Green Bay.”

“They are definitely not going to out do Detroit.”

Now back to the draft.

You and Isaac were sitting with his family but you couldn’t help but notice how nervous your boyfriend was.

“Isaac everything is going to be fine.” You said to him as you placed your hand on his knee.

“But everyone is getting drafted ahead of me,” he slightly whined. “What if I never get drafted? I mean I made a whole jersey and went up to the lions practice facility and front office.”

“You will get drafted babe, you just need to exercise some patience.”

Isaac took a deep breath and looked at you with those beautiful eyes of his. “Thank you Y/N, you always know what to say to make me feel better.”

Then it was time for pick 70 and this time it was the Lions turn. As you look at the screen, you tried to keep your boyfriend calm along with yourself. Then, you finally got to hear the words your boyfriend wanted to hear.

“In the 70th pick of the NFL Draft, the Detroit Lions select, Isaac Teslaa, Wide Receiver, Arkansas!”

Isaac was practically jumping for Joy when he heard his name be called. Still holding your hand, the two of you along with you and his family walked to that big stage so Isaac can get his Jersey. He was gleaming, gleaming at the fact he would get to play on his childhood team. Shortly after, you went back to the hotel.

“Isaac, you’re re going to play for the Detroit Lions! I’m so proud of you babe!”

He hugged you so tightly in that room and whispered, “thank you, I’m glad you were able to come with me to experience the moment.”

“Of course, it means a lot to me to be here to support you. Also I’m an NFL wag now, so now I gotta take extra precautions when it comes to my man.”

In just a few days after leaving Green Bay, Isaac went up to the Lions practice facility, getting a tour of the locker room and where his locker would be. All you could do was smile at your boyfriend as you watched his dream coming true in the flesh.

*September 2025, First Game of The Season*

You sat in one of the suites in Lambeau Field in Green Bay, anxiously waiting for Isaac to play his first game of the season. You had a cute little setup for him as a way of saying good luck and in hopes the Lions win. Unfortunately, they lost to Green Bay. But you were still proud of him for playing his best.

“You’re not upset I lost today baby?” He asked you.

“No, I’m not,” you replied. “I’m just happy that my boyfriend is finally living out his dream.”
