ISAIAH S.O.A.P. ~ CHAPTER 3
For Jerusalem has stumbled and Judah has fallen,
Because their speech and their actions are against the Lord,
To rebel against His glorious presence.
~ Isaiah 3:8
Jerusalem - His holy - set apart - city has stumbled... as have I...
Their speech and actions are against the Lord - what about mine? ALL of my speech and actions?
To rebel - rise in opposition to, against - even the simplest, "smallest" act of disobedience...
...against HIS glorious presence... really?
Watch my step... (used to be a warning from Dad...) - be aware of where I might (and do), stumble...
Watch/listen to my speech and actions - and the thoughts that instigate 'em...
Remember any disobedience towards Him and His will is rebellion...
Bask, soak, revel in His glorious presence...
Holy Father God - Your infinite worthiness requires my total and unquestioning obedience, and yet I have stumbled and rebelled on more occasions than I can count - and that You have forgiven through the blood and resurrection of Jesus... Thank You for Your Holy Spirit Who reminds me to lean into Your Word and Your will for my life, into Your Way, Your Truth, the life of Jesus, Who made it possible for me to soak in Your glorious presence and offer praise and worship and a joyful noise to honor You... Thank You for being closer than I can imagine... In Jesus's comforting, hoping, joyous Name...
