Wyo I just left a comment on your fic but I forgot to mention the name of the fic!!! When I first saw your fic title I was like "hmm this is familiar" anD THEN IT HIT ME THAT IT WAS FROM THE HANGING TREE. Then i saw marta's art too and basically rip me. I'm emotional all over again.  The song was the inspiration for the prologue. I got the idea for the fic and then I listened to the song and only because of that, the prologue turned out like it is now - I strongly suggest reading the prologue while listening to the song, it gives you ALL THE FEELINGS
