I was about to point out in the tags how significant is Vilde being hidden from the audience's sight, then saw your tags right after fjadhaks. For real though. That also speaks as lack of communication to me, we do not see any contact between the two, they have some kind of misunderstandings going on and do not quite see it. Although I think the only people not in white apart from Sana were Vilde, Eva and, even if slightly, Noora? Like that must mean something.
Oh definitely, I think miscommunication is the main issue where the girls are concerned. Because fundamentally Vilde and Sana’s wishes here don’t really clash. Vilde for one, has poured all of her creativity inspiration and innovation in this project ever since she started upper secondary school. This is her dream, an idea that she conceived herself and she has already devoted so much time passion and effort into seeing this vision complete (let’s not forget that she was the one to bring all the girls together). It’s only natural to want to see it play out the way she has dreamt it especially because out of all the girls russ holds a high importance for Vilde in particular, seeing as she is the one who cares the most about the social aspect of school and everything that russ would entail so she can solidify her place there... but I don’t really think that she would have a problem handing over control of the financial aspect to Sana. Sana has after all proven to be very intuitive and resourceful, as well as very perceptive and persuasive when it comes to talking to people and of course she’s quite ruthless whenever she sets a goal and very determined to achieve it. Also Sana would never take complete reign from Vilde and relegate her to a mere secretary if she was reminded of exactly how much this means to her - what Sana wants the most is to prove both to herself and to everyone doubting her that she can bring those two parts of her life (her faith and her Norwegian heritage) together, that they don’t have to be conflicting but they can coexist and she could definitely achieve that by single-handedly solving the financial problems , which as we’ve seen are quite a big issue when it comes to russ. If only they communicated properly they would be able to come up with a compromise and they have the potential to actually be one of the most formidable teams if they join forces but unfortunately they don’t seem able to reach that point yet!
Also, nice catch on the colour difference in Vilde Noora and Eva’s shirts! It certainly means something and I believe it has been pointed out by now, but from Sana’s point of view the colours are the visual manifestation of the way she is excluded and discriminated against by the rest of the girls (She is the only one wearing black in a literal sea of white - a Muslim girl in a white faithless country indeed). So in this context it does make a lot of sense that the only people in this room she considers her allies, the only ones she is not completely alienated from, the ones she feels the closest to would also be the only ones to stand out with colours that also seem much closer to her own than the hostile white she is surrounded by.
