I'm always having trolls Photoshop my pictures. Often to make me seem like a bad person or create a 'more desirable' version of myself. In the left pic I'm posing hard to get the right shot. I'm doing the painful back arch with torso twist which always hurt my lower back. I then straightened the closet leg to the camera to make my bum 'pop'. I waited till sunset to get the more flattering lighting that hid any natural skin lumps & bumps. Don't forget the filters. On the right I have been 'improved' to have the out of proportion peach butt that is spreading around Instagram like a virus. The final shot below is the only (more) authentic pic I could find from that shoot (as it was from a while ago). As you can see there isn't a lot of curve there and it's pretty flat, not peachy & that is ok! Before you tell me to squat (& I'm not against them), i did that for many years as a PT and my butt only changing a very small amt (which I'm ok with). Let's get real squats are great but will not suddenly explode your rump into some perky rock solid juicy peach that you often see deceptively advertised. Muchmoretothatthansquats.💁The anatomical function of the ass is to protect the ischial tuberosity of your pelvis when you sit down. If your butt is doing its protective job then celebrate girls! You have a functioning butt 🤷‍♀️Don't try to compete with a cartoon character and fake filtered photoshopped poses on Instagram. I did a video today talking about my own fake Instagram shots & posted the video link in my bio. I want to start an authentic army of strong girls who will confidently be themselves in this increasingly fake cyber world. Those willing to take a stand against the wave of fakery on social media & happy to post their real unfiltered selves. It will be SO empowering especially for the young girls growing up in this crazy digital era who sadly see altered pics as 'goals'. Looking to create a hashtag & extra page for real pics. JEEP relief ... ☀️_____________________☀️ I just figured out today that the front bumper and grill of a Wrangler is a wonderful place to sit and work on your posture...oh, and to work on Vitamin D levels! 🤗 ☀️_____________________☀️ SIT BONES! Or ischial tuberosities! Are you maintaining a neutral pelvis with your deep core as you hinge back? Focusing on the weight on your sit bones will not only tell you if you are putting more weight on one sit bone versus the other, but also lets you know if you're falling into a posterior or anterior tilt as you lean back, meaning you are making compensations. _____________________ MIDBACK FLEXIBILITY! As you hinge back to the point at which your upper/mid back touches the grill, use this as a guide to then hinge only at the point at which the grill touches your back. This is what I like to call a "mini mid back backbend". This helps to create mobility in your mid back, so you don't have to move as much in your low back, where there shouldn't be as much movement, which is a common cause of low back pain. If your low back touches the grill, then you know that you have fallen into posterior tilt with your pelvis in this exercise. Keeping the fingertips connected to the ears helps increase the challenge to the core, and works on the strength endurance of the shoulder stabilizers, which ultimately serves as a gentle pectoralis release (which generally does too much work). Also, keeping the fingertips behind the ears let's you know whether or not you are mobilizing from your mid back or your head. You want to keep your head fairly stable in this exercise, so that you're not working the neck extensors but the mid back extensors.
