I honestly hate my type (I'm an ISFJ). I wish I was an INFJ, or maybe even an INTJ. These other types can think so logically and know all these crazy things just based on intuition and... my type can feel things?? Wow, big deal. I just feel like I have these functions that aren't useful, and that I'm just useless. I hope this makes sense
Are you kidding? ISFJs are awesome. Listen, here is why:
ISFJs are analytical. You notice everything, even the smallest change. You see how things have changed and how they are different now. You can pinpoint the cause of a problem because you are grounded and observant, while Intuition would only tell you that “something is wrong”.
ISFJs and their social skills. How many times have I seen an ISFJ in a conversation with people they’ve just met and thought “How can they be Introverts?”. A unique combination of a warm nature, patience and supportive personality that makes people trust you so easily sometines I can’t believe it.
ISFJs and their loyalty and reliability. When an ISFJ says “I’ll do it”, I know I can trust them. Same happens when they are committed to a person, you don’t people down and that is something I admire.
ISFJs and their imagination. There is a tendency to believe Sensors have no imagination, and I hate it. Nobody gives credit to the wonderful ideas ISFJs have, and how “abstract” and “theoretical” they can be, adjetives often used to describe Intuitives. People who say that should see an ISFJ talking about a book they like. I swear 89% of the posts that explain wierd yet believable theories about plot twists or why the cousin no one remembers is actually the murderer are written by ISFJs. I love how ISFJs’ ideas are imaginative yet practical, with your feet on the ground but looking at the sky.
ISFJs and their empathy. The kind of selfless empathy that comes from truly caring for a person, and how you see things from other people’s perspective in an instant. ISFJs are my favourite advice givers-you are supportive yet practical and realistic, and I love how you can find the right words to make a person feel better anytime.
ISFJs and their practical skills. Oh man. You have a solution for everything. Feeling sick? Here, take this. Feet hurt? Here’s something you can do to ease the pain. You don’t understand the lesson? I’ll help you with your exercises. ISFJs to the rescue.
No type is better, we all have strengths and weaknesses because we are all different and that’s fantastic. ISFJs have their own strengths that shouldn’t be compared to INTJs’ or INFJs’ strengths, especially because the Intuitive bias everywhere makes things look better for Intuitive types. ISFJs are badass, trust me.

IxFJ problem: Despising confrontation, trying your absolute hardest to avoid confrontation, only choosing to do so when you know you have been wronged and you want to make amends (as opposed to avoiding them altogether), then the confrontation goes horribly wrong and you end up essentially apologizing to them for the anguish that your anguish has put them through.
This is an issue of auxiliary Fe. IxFJs hold group harmony and keeping the peace in very high regards. They are used to constantly looking out for other peoples’ needs, trying to get everyones’ needs met, forgetting that their needs fall under that larger category of everyone’s needs. The trouble comes from holding group harmony in high regard, but not being quite as good at the execution as ExFJs, who have Fe in dominant position.
