Want to do serious ishguardian post hw how the fuck do they transition from theocracy to kinda democracy theory crafting but all I can think if is how the fuck my WoL Arakow gets Sidurgu in a room with either Aymeric or Lucia.
She does eventually, its really important in my idea of Ishgard and how it reforms that a council of sort of anti-nobles especially those from the brume like Sid and Hilde forms who help explain shit to Lucia and Aymeric, especially the stuff that they wouldn't really want to say in an official place like the house of commons, and give a very different perspective and insight on their plans for Ishguard.
You also have things like Lucia working to reform Ishguards military though corruption investigations supported by new legislation ect but Sidurgu can also work towards the same goal without the restrictions of legality and trials in cases where Ishguard hasn't reformed enough yet to be able to achieve justice [I need to do the machinist quests to know how Hilde fully fits into this] is it ideal to be the knight commander working under the table with an unsanctioned vigilante cop temple knight killer while herself weeding out corruption and extra judicial actions by nobles? No but they don't live in an ideal world and Sidurgu is gonna Sidurgu you might as well make sure you are in conversation with him so you dont get in each others ways.
I cant remember if its said in game that the house of commons mostly ends up being wealthy merchants or its just common sense but the brume needs a voice in this whole process and Arakow is going to do her best to get the right people in a room together to make sure the reformation actions are what's truely best for Ishguard, not just what Aymeric and Lucia think combined with the nobles and wealthy commoners.
