I know a lot of people don’t like that Guts has basically adopted a bunch of kids but I seen them as being necessary if Griffith is to be defeated. Guts and Casca both are able to slightly affect the flow of causality since they survived the eclipse. Perhaps their actions can cause larger and larger ripples in the flow. And the kids are the growing ripples since they’re together only because Guts defied his fate. Their actions could become so unpredictable to the Godhand that they change fate.
