In terms of the Islamic scholars’ point of view, a consensus has been reached over the actual meaning of the term Sunnah. And it states that Sunnah is everything that relates to the Holy Prophet Muhammad SAW, including his statements, biographical life, words, actions, physical traits, personality and approvals.

The Sunnah of the Holy Prophet SAW also includes his personality or character as well as his physical appearance. In regard to this, the Prophet has been mentioned as being a man of exemplary character who was never indecent or vulgar.

Men are the protectors and maintainers of women

Allah says, “Men have authority over women, for that God has exalted one over the other, and for that they expend of their wealth; so the righteous women are obedient and guard the unseen as God has guarded”. (Al-Nisa:34).

It means that Allah has declared men, sustainer or provider over women. The sustainer or provider gives also security, leads, organize the matters. If it is seen honestly then we would reach to the conclusion that man is most appropriate for becoming good man of the house. Who has more physical strength as compared to woman, who possesses the ability to solve the problems naturally, whose brain weighs 5 ounce more than woman’s brain.

Means man is pre-eminent than woman physically and mentally. Therefore, the goodmenship of the family has been given to him. This is the responsibility of husband that he would provide security to the family and also full fills the needs as well. That is why the order of him would be followed in the house.
