Sometimes as a woman it’s important for you to wake up late and be alone in the house on a cloudy cold day with your feelings.

Used to be like that...before I got myself a husband and a kid, alhamdulillah. Not complaining though.

I feel that I constantly need to thank God, thank him for his hidden kindness, and for the beautiful destiny that intervenes at the right time to always save me.

Those that believe that the woman is wasted in her home either do not understand this duty or they understand it but they have a disease in their hearts.

They don't appreciate it and it's so sad...the backbone of humanity lies in the way a woman at home brings up her children, keeps a family together, and makes a house into a home. What greater and more purposeful 'job' is there than that?

Not to minimize the role of a working woman, there's just no comparison between the 2; each are doing what they need to do based on their circumstances and both are superwomen. The working women also fulfills the obligations I listed above but unfortunately she just gets less time to do so as she's also having to be a financial provider and has to play a double role.

Point is, both types of women are doing their best and making a positive impact in their families and communities. May Allah make it easy for everyone and may we be aware enough to appreciate the roles the people around us are playing on an individual and social level, ameen.
